Breville One Touch/ Variable Kettle

I have the go ahead to purchase a electric kettle for my daughter for Christmas. Honestly I cannot make up my mind between the Breville One Touch and the Breville Variable
Kettle. I will be purchasing these at QVC since I have a gift card there and they carry both of these.
Right now how my daughter makes tea is to boil water on the stove in a pan and then uses her perfect tea maker.
So I thought the variable kettle would suit her. But then I found the One touch which would also do the water plus more. But then again it is more fagile.
All being equal what would you suggues. The cost factory really isn’y a issue since the giftcard will cover either one.

Just want the best choice for her.

Thanks in advance

Don’t think you can really go wrong with either. If your daughter likes the Perfect Tea Maker and wants to continue using it, then the One Touch might be overkill. The Variable Kettle would complement it better.

A big advantage the One Touch has is the brew temperatures are completely customizable. You’re stuck with the 5 presets on the Variable Kettle.

Yeah, if cost isn’t an issue, I’d go for the one touch. I have a the one touch and being able to brew and walk away and not worry is super nice. Plus you can also just use it for heating water by taking the strainer out if you want a smaller cup or doing gongfu. And like LuckyMe says, you can set the specific temp you want. My mom has the variable temp one and it can sometimes be frustrating when you know what temp you want, but it’s not an option. Good luck! She’ll be super excited either way.

To me it depends on what she likes to do in terms of brewing. I have no interest in a one touch and enjoy the kettle and pot method. I have a $40 variable temp kettle that I love. If she wants the one stop shop though, the one touch is the way to go.

If your daughter drinks a lot of tea … I’d say you should go for the One Touch. I love, LOVE, love mine. It seriously is the most used appliance in the kitchen with the exception of the refrigerator because it’s always running … but, I am using my one touch more often than I’m opening the fridge. As a frequent tea drinker, I shudder to think how I lived before this appliance came into my life.

However, if she drinks tea only on occasion … then I’d go with a variable temp kettle.
