Yeah, I’m surprised David’s tea hasn’t made an infuser that clips onto the side of a mug. I need to find one so that I can use any mug my little hart desires. Having said that, the basket from dT does fit most mugs, but might fall right into some of the larger ones.

I have the Steeper from Davids and I really like it. You can use it with any mug.

Choconut Oolong and White chocolate frost sound amazing!

I wasn’t a fan of Alpine Punch I found it made me thirsty.

Oh gosh. I am so excited. I love the new pots, but I wish the red bird bubble cups were red on the inside :(

Anyone live near a David’s Tea in San Francisco? I need to try the Winter teas, but it’s not close enough for me to get to often.

Just got an e-mail about them bringing back “The iconic cup”. It sounds wonderful. Can someone tell me what it looks like? is it tall and skinny or short/fat? does it come in different colours? that sort of thing?

TeaLady441 said

I got the same email. It’s a ceramic travel cup that is supposed to mimic the look of the paper go cups that you would take out, except it’s reusable. It also has a lid that looks like a coffe lid too.

The only color is teal, with a huge DAVIDsTEA logo written along the side. It’s nice enough, but I prefer my timolino. :)

TeaLady441 said

It doesn’t come with a steeper, but apparently if you bring it in store you get 10% off your drink. I guess that’s your reward for advertising their tea? :P

10% off is more than the $0.10 you get at Starbucks! It’s weird, I have a bunch of sbux mugs with logos that don’t bother me, but the DavidsTea one does… I guess it’s because I’m SO used to sbux mugs.

Thanks for describing it! and yeah, I like my timolino as well. That, and I imagine that this isn’t spill proof. Like, at all.

OMGsrsly said

If its anything like the Starbucks ceramic mug, not only is it not spill proof, but it is easily broken if you put it in your bag and drop it by accident, or knock it against something. At least they advertise it as having a plastic lid instead of a silicone one! IMO, much nicer to drink out of.

I have just received an order yesterday and along with it came the Winter 2013 tea menu!! So I have the list and description of the new teas:

-alpine punch: everyone knows it
-choconut oolong: With rich, dark chocolate, smooth-drinking oolong and just a hint of hazelnut, this is the perfect breakfast and the perfect tea, all rolled into one.
-coffee cake (black): This sweet, fragrant black tea blend has all the aroma of a fresh baked coffee cake, plus an energy boost from rich black tea and a fruity hint of cherry and pineapple.
-spiced fig (herbal): This festive tea combines cranberries, almonds, dates, cloves and big, luscious pieces of fig for a holiday treat that’s pure satisfaction at next to no calories. Caffeine free
-white chocolate frost (herbal): With peppermint, white chocolate and peppercorns, this cool, creamy drink that brings together everything we love about the season. It’s a warm hug and a cool winter day – all at once. Caffeine free

They also sent me a sample of Choconut Oolong, which I am SUPER excited to try!!! And samples of Sleigh Ride and Santa’s Secret, which I assume are coming back for the holidays.

I just got my order today and they sent me the winter tea menu also, with samples of choconut oolong, spiced fig and a gingerbread rooibos. I guess we had good timing with our orders!!

Can either of you tell me what the Nov/Dec/Jan tea of the months are? It would probably say in the menu :)

Tealizzy said

Jan is chai on life (white), couldn’t find Dec, but Nov is chocolate chili chai.

Do either Spiced Fig or White Chocolate Frost have artificial flavoring in them? Or stevia?

Irene89 said

@Tealizzy Ohh lucky you for getting the spiced fig! Let me know how it tastes when you try it!!

Oh wow CCC is going to be permanent! That’s crazy news, I wish they would do that with Pumpkin Chai so they don’t have to bring it back each year.

Tealizzy said

Chizakura – the tea menu doesn’t list the specific ingredients, just a summary, so I don’t know about white chocolate frost, but from the spiced fig sample I got, it doesn’t list any artificial flavoring or stevia, but has “natural vanilla flavoring.”

Irene89 – I will let you know! :)

Chizakura said

Tealizzy — Okay, great thanks! :) Yay I’ll be definitely trying the Spiced Fig then. Hopefully the same can be said for the White Chocolate Frost. :D

Just tried Choconut Oolong. Kinda disappointed… I left a review on the tea’s page.

I think there was a mistake on the website because all the the winter teas (except Spiced Fig) and Santa’s Secret and Sleigh Ride were listed as available. Of course, I ordered some to try and it says my order shipped, so we shall see of I manage to get my hands on them. I am super excited!
