12 Teas of Christmas 2013

I know, I know, it’s ridiculously early for some of you to even begin to think about this, but I’m posting it anyway because I’ve found in the past that there are businesses who would like to order these samplers as gifts for clients/customers and they start planning earlier than the rest of the world.

Anyway, in order to assuage my guilt for having posted it so soon, I’m offering an Early Bird discount for pre-orders for a LIMITED TIME. How limited? I don’t even know. But not long. So, don’t delay.

Our 2013 “12 Teas of Christmas” Sampler is going to be better than ever.

Here’s what you get:

A package of 20 disposable tea filters

A colorful plastic perfect cup of tea measuring spoon

Samples of eleven of our best 52teas blends since last year’s sampler

A sample of one brand new blend for Christmas Day

It all comes in a nice gift box, and the samples are all packaged in all new high-barrier foil laminate pouches with labels that tell the recipient which day to scratch them to reveal what tea is inside. It’s twelve days of gifts in one! Recipients are encouraged to scratch off and reveal which tea is in each sample pouch one at a time on the twelve days preceding and including Christmas day.

This will be our fourth year offering these samplers and they are always VERY popular. I have to ask folks to pre-order them so I know how many to make. They should start shipping the week of Thanksgiving.

These make amazing gifts, and with the early bird discount, they’re even better gift items. Give them to your kid’s teachers, neighbors, your neighbor’s kid’s teachers, your letter carrier, the Salvation Army bell ringer… anyway, here’s the link:

How much tea is a “sample”?

We use a 1/8 cup measure for these. So six teaspoons.

What kinds of teas are there?

They are 11 of the most popular blends from the past year and one brand new Christmas themed tea. I don’t think he includes re-blends though, so they would have been teas of the week since January.

I purchased mine :) it was so fun last year to review the same tea each day with many of you and I bet it’s as fun this year. Plus I look forward to trying some of the new blends.

Yay, doing this too!
I’m curious though. I suppose if we like what we taste there’s no way to get more? I’ve never really understood the concept of a tea a week…?

I’m pretty certain he offers the reblends up for sale each day as they are opened. After that it’s hit or miss though. :)

Last year 52 Teas offered the teas featured in the Christmas box to buy in full 2oz packs during January. Great if you can get them in time. :)

Oh whew, that’s a relief. Because otherwise I’d hesitate to try a new tea, lest I fall in love with it and then spend the next god knows how long morning.

Shoot, just missed the early bird :(

Frank, do you know whether all the teas in this sampler will be vegan?

Well, I don’t want to give away what’s in it, but we’ve only made ONE non-vegan blend all year (the Candy Corn tea—the candy corns themselves are not vegan). It has been pretty popular, so it MIGHT be in there, but IF it is, everything else will be vegan.

It came! It came! It came!

Lovely packaging this year Frank. I like the foil packages and the scratch off. Only problem with the foil is it so effectively seals in the tea I can’t play the sniff the package to guess the tea game like I have in the past. I’m sure it’s better for the freshness of the tea though. The measuring spoon is a nice touch too and the filter bags are always appreciated.

I’m going to be traveling in the week before christmas and I’ve been fretting how to handle not having my breville with me. I was thinking of doing it early like I know some people have done but that just doesn’t seem right. I could buy a thermometer and heat the water on a stove but that’s a bit tricky and I’ve gotten lazy and spoiled. So my husband said, “we’ll just have to bring the breville then”. LOL good thing we’re traveling by car not plane.
