Thank you all for the prayers.
Thankful my son, wife and unborn baby are well and healthy.
Heartbroken for those families who may have lost more.
A lady I admire at our church had a granddaughter badly hurt.
These tornados did a lot of damage.

CelebriTEA so thankful everyone is safe. My wife is from Lafayette. We are in southern Indiana. I never recall seeing storms that moved that fast. We had two super cells fly through. There were reports of a huge cell on the ground just west of us. The way the FCC divided up what local stations DISH could offer we are in an area that receives no coverage so I have no idea what damage may be near by but we are safe. PTL

KS,

PTL~ you an yours are safe and sound.
When I was younger, I occasionally worked in Lafayette through
a nurse staffing agency. I forget the name of the main road I took
From Kokomo to Lafayette, but it sure was the Long And Winding Road (pun intended)
…lol…terrible to drive in the winter. Do you still reside in my neck of the woods?
(Central Indiana) glad to know you better :-)

We are in the hills south of the Bloomington area. I get lost everytime I am in Lafayette. Not sure what it is about that town that turns me around. Anyway, everything is so flat north I don’t know why any road needs curves. :)

Ahhh…with Lafayette and West Lafayette it is soooo BIG…I always got lost too, and with traveling for me, it was MUCH eeasier to work in Indianapolis. So there you go, lol,
Most of my working years were at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and agency.
I occasionally went as far north as South Bend, south of Indy some, east to Richmond, and only twice in the Bloomington area~ way too far.
I took 22 >>> 26 to get to Lafayette and although the map shows those roads
being straight…lol….they most definitely are NOT!

I actually had the map out to figure out your route and it sure looks straight. I think the problem with Lafayette and West Lafayette is they are turned 90 degrees to how my brain thinks they should be, so I always go the wrong way. Indy is much easier. Keep going straight and eventually you hit 465 no matter which way you were going.
