Would anyone be willing to swap some of the Verdant Tea Eight Treasures Yabao Winter Blend. I have been wanting to try it for a while now, but never got a chance to.

I don’t care if it is just a small sample size left. I really want to try that flavor.

I have some! I’ll send you a message later because I need to get back to last minute studying, or you can send me one and then I’ll get back to you when I’m finally done. I can send you like half an ounce if you’d like. I’m not a big fan but I want to give it a couple more tries in hopes I can enjoy it!

That would be awesome!!!

hello fellow swapping steepsterites. i have a shipping question, and probably should have asked this right off the bat.

when shipping across the border, does anyone have any tips? is a bubble envelope ok for tea, or should it be in a box so as not to crush the leaves?

i tend to be an overly cautious shipper, pad things more than they need, which makes it more costly. funds are a bit tight, so i’d like to try to not over spend where i don’t need to, y’know? i’d rather spend money on TEA than bubble wrap… plus i just have almost no experience shipping across the border.

momo said

I’ve always shipped mine in bubble envelopes, unless it’s too much to fit into one. Most of the tea I get back is in bubble envelopes too and I’ve never had any problems with crushed leaves or ripped open envelopes or anything. Just once border patrol opened a package haha.

Bubble wrap here for both sending and having received in swaps :)

excellent. thank you! :)

i’m used to mailing things like photos. as long as it’s sandwiched between fairly sturdy cardboard, you’re golden. mailing tea is new territory for me and i’d feel terrible if tea showed up quite damaged.

Ello! so I am looking to swap The Mycroft blend by Cara M. from adagio with Cara’s The Woman Blend (also from adagio)
I have only brewed a couple of cups of it. I have learnt that I just really don’t like chocolate teas. (Just PM me if you are interested)

Edit: Just so you know, I do not have the original packaging for Mycroft. I got too excited and put it in one of my tea tins. I do have the original label, which I can include with the tea.

Question for you, (and not about the Mycroft blend, I have some of that myself), how do you ship tea if you don’t have the original packaging? Do you ship in the tea tin?

momo said

Most people on here use sandwich/snack size ziplock bags for sending tea, or buy smaller sized ziplock type bags.

Thanks! I thought that might be it, but I wasn’t sure.

Elinoria said

yeah that is how I am going to package it.

So, this is less of a swap, and more of a giveaway. I have WAY too much tea and looking through my collection, realized I don’t love these guys as much as someone else may.

Some of these teas are relatively new (the matcha and David’s Tea), and some (the Cherries Jubilee, Chocolate Mate) are older. All of them have been stored in a dark cabinet so away from any light, heat, etc. I would just send them in whatever package/tin they are in now.

Okay, the list and amounts:

Cherries Jubilee Bai Mu Dan 52Teas (1.5 oz) Kittenna
Malted Chocomate 52Teas (1.5 oz.) Shakirah1984
Cinnamon Roll Honeybush 52Teas (repackaged in a small Upton sample tin, maybe 0.5 to 0.75 oz) tattooedtea
Long Island Strawberry Sencha – Culinary Teas (tin, easily 2 oz.) Melanie
Toasted Marshmallow David’s Tea (1.5 oz) tattooedtea
Creme Brulee David’s Tea (1.5 oz) Melanie
Cranberry Autumn Harney & Sons (tin – maybe 2 oz?) Kittenna (sample)
Bavarian Cream Matcha Red Leaf Tea (in gold foil envelope with Lupicia clip) Melanie

Let me know if there’s any that you’d like!

EDIT: Um, wow that went fast! I should do this more often! I tried to do it on a first come first serve basis, and I’m sorry I couldn’t get everyone… thank you so much for your interest!

Melanie said

Hi! I would love the Long Island Strawberry Sencha and the Creme Brulee! Hmmm… I also think I’d like to try the Bavarian Cream Matcha. I’ve never tried Matcha before. Also, If you want to split any of these with someone else, that’s fine – and I have a few things I could offer to send you too.

Kittenna said

I am super interested in the Cherries Jubilee Bai Mu Dan! And a sample of H&S Cranberry Autumn :)

Kittenna said

Also, willing to send teas back if you’d like, although I can’t get to it until after Christmas.

Melanie – done on all three! I’m following you so we can do the PM thing. And no worries on sending anything back…I’m just glad someone will get to drink this and enjoy it!

Kittenna – I will get you the Cherries Jubilee and a H&S sample. I may get back to you on swapping after Christmas – your cupboard is quite tempting! I’m following you so when you get around to it PM me with your address!

Toasted Marshmallow & Cinnamon Roll Honeybush. Willing to send others in return if you’d like.

I meant to post that here:
I wouldn’t mind samples of any of them but I’m especially interested in Cinnamon Roll Honeybush – 52Teas (repackaged in a small Upton sample tin – maybe 0.5 – 0.75 oz)
Toasted Marshmallow – David’s Tea (1.5 oz)
Bavarian Cream Matcha – Red Leaf Tea (in gold foil envelope with Lupicia clip)

especially especially the marshmallow (it was on my shopping list!) :D

tatooed_tea: You can definitely grab these two – thank you so much for doing it. I’ll follow you so I can get your address via PM.

Guess I missed out. I was looking up the info for each of them. Ah well. I’d feel bad not sending you anything in return anyway. thanks for the opportunity!

A couple of those teas sound interesting, especially the Earl Grey Creme (on an Earl Grey kick) and the Monk blend. Let me know if there’s anything in my cupboard you’d like to trade. (Especially if you like Prince Wales, I don’t think I’ll ever drink it lol)

I would be interested in the Mate Vana and Ying Ming.

I’d love to try the Mate Vana. I’ve got a surplus of wine-infused white teas, basic black teas, and green jasmine.
