I am open to requests, I have a lot of David’s Tea, I have some Cameillia sinensis, some International House of Tea, Boreal Forest tea, and Steeper’s Tea. I was studying in thunder bay so alot of my “local” teas will be coming from there. I will try to find some actual local near my place, time permiting !

Exciting news in my world- I came home to one travelling tea box!! Even more exciting, with my typical teacher over efficiency I have unpacked, pulled, added, written, repacked and prepped the box ready to head back out. I have one more thing to throw in tomorrow, then it can make its way on down the chain!!

VariaTEA said

That is impressive. However, wouldn’t you rather take time to enjoy the box?

mewakeling said

I have Prom preparations starting. I would love to spend months with the box, but it goes in the mail in the next few days or it is liable to get set aside with the chaos that is decorating and coordinating this extravaganza. I pulled the teas I wanted to sample and I am going to send it on its way again. :)

VariaTEA said

Fair enough. Good luck with all your preparations :)

Calla said

Sweet glad you got to enjoy the box. I hope your prom planning goes well. Do you have a dress yet ?

mewakeling said

I wish :) those years have passed and, as I have learned the hard way, prom is a lot harder when you are one of the organizing teachers! This is our last year so my partner and I are going out with a bang, thus far I have already hand strung a five foot beaded chandelier. Prom is a huge deal in my city much more so than grad, so it becomes quite the production.

Calla said

awww cute. What subjects do you teach?
I’m a fellow ( soon to be) teacher !

mewakeling said

I am super lucky! I get to teach math and science at the grade 9/10 level to students with attendance and engagement issues. They can be a handful on some days, but I absolutely adore my students and they are so much fun to teach. It is part curriculum, part life skills, and part parenting, every day is always something new :)

For everyone keeping an eye on the box, here are the changes I made:

Teas I took:

Harney and Sons Chocolate Mint

Teas I Sampled:
Della Terra Carrot Cake
Adagio Cream
Capital Tea Peppermint Bark
Evergreen Boreal Forest
Naked Leaf Spiced Green
Taiwan Roasted Oolong
Se Chung Oolong
David’s Tea Dragon Pearls

And the best part – I had so much fun picking teas to throw in!!

Teas I added:

52Tea’s Banana Grap Shou Mei
True North Maple Tea (bagged)

I don’t have local teas, per se (I live in the very isolated North) but Cornelia Bean comes from Winnipeg and the Tea Granny is from Dauphin.

The box was an absolute blast to go through and I have a ton of teas set aside to try. I am sitting enjoying a cup of Copabana while I type this.

Thank you so much for letting me be a part of this and I will update you when I post it at the post office!
