Finally Launched Our Tea Blending Kits!

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to give the Steepster community a heads up that I’ve finally finished the first run of our tea blending kits to put online. We had a few setbacks at the end of last year that kind of put that project on hold, but it wasn’t far from my mind.

We are starting with a simple way to build them: choose a base tea, inclusion package, and flavour vial. If they prove to be a popular product then I’ll look at including more customization (additional flavour vials or mix-in packages to be added to your kit).

Was hoping to put up our first video this week showing how to replicate a popular tea blend, but alas, I’m moving across the city in a week and have yet to pack anything at home. Don’t think I could shoot in time. Will try though :)

Thoughts? I’m always looking for feedback!

I think this is a great idea. I’m the type that rummages in the baking cupboard for something to jazz up a so so tea. I quite often add chocolate chips, coconut, spices etc to my tea. Would be nice to have some of the proper tool in the house. Playing “mad scientist” is a lot of fun. Love to be able to get my hands on some of the flavor vials.
I understand why you have the kits set up the way you do, I understand that you are a tea company – so you want to sell tea, but I have lots of tea – I would like an option to just buy the “stuff” with out having to buy tea. I know most people will buy a kit – and a kit includes tea. How you have it set up makes perfect sense for most people who would be interested.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah i think at some point we’ll break off the kits to just include flavour vials to help spice up an existing tea blend. I’ve done that SO many times and I think a lot of people would be interested in it.

The kits look really interesting. I’m thinking black tea with the spicy mix-in and vanilla vial.
