Grow your own?

Just wondering if anyone here has ever grown, dried and then made their own tea from homegrown tea bushes?
I have from homegrown apple mint, spearmint and chamomile..but never got to try growing a real tea bush. Might if I move back to the Mtns of VA ..good wine there so maybe good tea too!

No, I haven’t but I’ve dreamt of it! I don’t get enough sun nor have enough warmth where I live. However, when I was on the Big Island of Hawaii, I visited Volcano Winery and I got a tour of their tea plants. It was really inspiring. I hope to go back and help harvest and learn more about growing tea. I’d love to hear if other people have grown their own tea for their own use!
