1. I’ll let ya know if I sucessfully create one :)

6. Fahrenheit 451 helped me fall in love with reading again in college. Snow Crash made me fall in love with reading again after college. :D I also loved to use Snow Crash when I was training new employees. I’d play a customer who was looking for “Niel Stevens’ Crashing in the Snow.” Mwahahaaaa! That was my favorite. I also got to look like a nerd goddess when an employee came up to me and asked if I’d heard of a “Samurai Pizza Delivery Guy” book that she was trying to help a customer find.

Stephenson doesn’t always “nail the landings” in his books, but for the most part they are truly interesting. The Baroque Cycle took me about 3 years of reading the books off and on to get through. I’ve heard that Anathem has his best ending yet, I just don’t know if I’m ready to commit the concentration to figuring out the language :)

Have you read Tamora Pierce’s Tortall books? They’re aimed at teen girls but I was told about them when I worked at Borders by a customer who practically forced them on me. After I read the first one (Alanna) I was absolutely hooked. I reread the four different series almost every year. Her Circle series is seriously meh.

And definitely check out The Hunger Games trilogy (the third one’s released in the US in August). I’m anxiously awaiting its release.

Okay, so this is the second time that I’ve attempted to reply under a topic within a thread and it’s not under the “reply” subsection. (That make sense?) I’m guessing that it has to be user error (i.e. me not paying attention), so I apologize :(

oh yes i have read the first 3 alanna books!
