Any Canadians order from Mandala?

Hey Steepsterites :D I was just wondering if any Canadians have purchased from Mandala? I was wondering what sort of shipping I could expect before going through the motions of emailing an order request whilst worrying I’d just end up backing out of it if the shipping was too steep… I really want to try their Milk Oolong though :D

Last time I ordered from Mandala, I ordered two 100g pu’erh cakes plus 5oz of tea. Shipping was 12.00. The time before that it was 17.00 but I ordered quite a bit of tea and a teapot.
It’s not crazy, sticker shock,OMG are they nuts – like some of the companies are. It’s also not really cheap. I would say about average, in my opinion.
It might not be worth it if you only want the one tea – might be better to order a few….?
I love their tea, and will continue to order from them.
I hope that helps a little….

A lot of companies don’t realize it but shipping USPS 1st class to Canada is actually quite cheap. Maybe you can talk to them and ask that your order be shipped that way?

I’ve ordered from them, however I refused to pay the shipping price, so I started getting my US mail from a place called Across the Border (in BC). Everything gets shipped there, I walk across the border, pick up my stuff, and walk back on over. It was $10 to set up the account and $2.50 per box to pick up – well worth it, especially for Mandala, when shipping was free in the US.

yeah, wish i could help. I do similar to Bonnie and ship to a US address, mostly so i don’t have to go through the hassle of emailing orders. The minute it’s not easy to “check out” i tend not to place orders…and i love mandala haha

I ordered a 100g puerh cake, plus 2oz of tea, and shipping worked out to around $9.00. I was somewhat apprehensive as it was my first time purchasing from them, but they were quick to respond to my inquiries and even put in a couple free samples. :)
