Teeth Discoloration & Cold brew

Hello fellow tea lovers. I work infront of a computer for 10+ hours a day and drink tons of tea throughout the day. I’ve noticed quite a bit of teeth discoloration lately.

I was wondering if cold brewing tea for a couple of hours would be a good solution to lessen teeth discoloration? From what I’ve read the main causes for teeth discoloration is the high heat of tea (opens pores in teeth or something) and mainly the tannins. From what I understand cold brew releases much less tannins.

cheers

Anybody have any other good suggestions to help prevent/reduce teeth discoloration?

Interestingly/oddly enough, wait 30 minutes or more after eating/ drinking tea to brush your teeth. These activities soften the enamel, meaning the sooner you brush your teeth, the more damage you do!
It sounds counter intuitive….
Anyway, that relates to staining, since wearing away the enamel can make teeth more prone to it!

I’ve actually heard this before. Something to do with the acidity.

Probably not the answer you’re looking for, but I’ve used some of those Crest strips when I thought my teeth were getting stained by tea and they worked well enough to counteract the staining.

I’ve tried these before and regardless of the labelled strength, they kill my teeth. Plus they go back to yellowing soon after anyways :(

Does anybody know if cold brewed tea releases less tannins? I just assume it does because cold brewed tea never gets bitter.
