Spring tea suppliers?

So this is the first year I’ve been paying attention enough to be excited to try all the new 2014 spring greens and oolongs, with no particular geographic focus (at least nothing more specific than “China, Japan, and Taiwan”). Any particular suppliers I should be watching? I’ll definitely be paying attention to my favorite shops (Mandala, Verdant, Camellia Sinensis) but there are probably some others I shouldn’t miss, right? Thanks!

Look at Yunnan Sourcing. The Chinese site not the US site.

If you skim aliexpress you can sometimes buy directly from farmers.

One store that allow you to buy in smaller volume is http://www.aliexpress.com/store/225551

There are also short time offerings of single crops directly from the producers.

These are great, thank you! I just got lost in the Teavivre web site for a while and can’t believe I’ve never ordered from there. So there’s my next project.

Den’s will have a really nice Shincha in a month or if you like Japanese greens. I really enjoy it. Super sweet! :)

Oh thank you! I haven’t really gotten started with Japanese greens yet but absolutely plan to – and that looks like something I really have to try.

Ooh, you should get their $3 sampler for novices then! http://www.denstea.com/bnew-to-dens-teab-c-377.html

It comes with a $3 coupon off your next purchase so it is basically free! Super good stuff :)

I was just checking that out – and will definitely do that. Thanks!

Already mentioned, but Teavivre and Den’s are great sources for Chinese and Japanese teas respectively. +1
