You can only order from three companies for the rest of your life.

Hadn’t really thought about this until the past few days. Now, the list of 3 has become obvious to me:

Mellow Monk
Capital Tea
Camellia Sinensis

Why? Some great teas (although I have had some misses from each one). But, more importantly, excellent customer service.

Best wishes,
sherubtse

I don’t have any favorite tea companies yet, but I do really like Mountain Rose Herbs who happens to sell tea. I hardly think of them as a tea company, but I would put them as one of my three, because they sell both teas and a variety of herbs.

This is so hard. I am not a monogamous tea drinker.

Mandala pretty much just for their Milk Oolong. I’m not a pu-erh person and I’ve only tried a few of their oolongs and enjoyed them. Simply put I would have a hard time living with out their milk oolong though. It’s my ultimate comfort tea and the only one I buy in larger amounts.

Butiki— The best of both worlds! Amazing flavored teas and good straight teas. Stacy is a master blender.

and third…. 52/SBT sometimes a girl needs fun tea and sbt is the best flavored ice tea I’ve had.

but… Whispering Pines is looming outside looking to bump someone off the list. I simply haven’t tried enough of their teas. Yet.

T2- closest tea store that I have grown to adore
Fortnum and mason- quality teas. For just that reason. Though it is their tea rooms that I prefer.
Yumchaa- such a wide range of exotic teas

(1) A UK-based company called Amazing Green Tea – I haven’t ordered from them for a while, but I’ve had some stunning greens and whites from them.
(2) Teavivre, because I can’t be without their Alishan, and I’m loving some of their puerhs at the moment.
(3) It’s a tie between Teaspring, who, again, I haven’t ordered from in a while, but who I’ve had some lovely green teas from, and Yunnan Sourcing, who I haven’t ordered anything from at all yet, but I have a few puerh samples earmarked for my next buying spree.

Floating Leaves Tea (would have put Origin Tea, but FLT is the best alternative)
Yunnan Sourcing (for chinese teas)
Camellia Sinensis (selection)

White2Tea, Yunnan Sourcing, and Chawangshop. If they don’t have it, I don’t need it.

For top 5, I would add Camellia Sinensis and Mandala Tea. We are spoiled rotten by these companies with awesome tea.

Good list! I need to try Chawangshop, too bad their shipping is worse than YS.

Verdant
Teavivre

and then I get stuck because I like flavoured tea from all over. 52teas might be on top because of their new iced line and I do like a lot of their teas. But there’s also Butiki and Della Terra and The Tea Merchant and Persimmon Tree and others.

And then I think about matcha and how could I leave Red Leaf off the list? The only reason it isn’t the only thing I drink is because I can’t make matcha slushies at work and I’m constantly running out of milk.

TeaVivre – Some really nice Chinese blacks and rewards points! Plus great customer service.
Harney & Sons – What would I do without my beloved Hoji Kukicha. Plus they have a huge variety of teas. I don’t think I’d get bored with them.
Tao Tea Leaf – No brainer, great teas at great prices.

Honorable mentions – Yezi. Wonderful black teas, but a smaller selection. Ito-En. I could live without their lavender sencha, but I wouldn’t be happy about it.
