Butiki Traveling Educational Box NUMBER TWO - On the move!
Holy cheese doodles!!! The box is here and…wow…so much tea! I probably won’y have it for too long since my plan is to do the whole ‘take small samples’ and bag them for later thing. So exciting!
I have the box and there is still quite a bit of tea in here! I am hoping to pull out some samples and get the box on its way here in the next few days.
I just realized I never filled this out!
What is your tea experience level (beginner, intermediate, advanced)?

Was participating in this box worth your time and money (shipping costs)?
Definitely! I loved the ability to try so many different types of teas in the comfort of my own home.
Did you find it educational? If so, what did you learn?
Very educational. I learned that I love white tea and that there is an insane amount of different oolongs out there. I still have a few that I sampled from that I need to try.
Did you do any specific comparisons (regions, type of tea, etc)? If so, did that help in any way?
I tried the different regions & types of oolong teas. It really helped me taste the differences and figure out which ones I prefer.
Would you participate in a future box like this?
Yes!
What would you change to make this a better experience or more educational?
It was a bit overwhelming to have all the different types of tea all at once so I’d love to try an educational box with a single type of tea so I could devote more time to just one. But it was also nice to be able to try all different types so I’m conflicted in my opinion. Haha.

Box is on the move. It shipped off to donkeytiara today. There is a little bit of everything left in the box.
I got the box yesterday…. quite a few oolongs and darjeelings, a bunch of green, a few pu’ehrs and whites, and Kenyan ctcs…. I’m primarily a black tea drinker and there’s just a smattering of those, so I’ll pull samples to try at leisure and get the box moving in the next day or two.
Box is going out tomorrow…flyawaybirdie and marzipan, be prepared to Darjeeling and green your head off! I’ve added a few blacks and a pu’ehr (cuz I’m too chicken to drink it) to round out the box. I would certainly be interested in a round 2! Marzipan, it would be great to hear how the end of the box samples that are left compared to the beginning of the box samples…. what was popular and what was not so popular. Again, Stacey, thank you for this opportunity. I will get to the survey as soon as I have a chance to taste a few more things (I’ve pulled some samples to get the box moving again)
The box arrived today! WOWsers! Haha. I’m excited.
Got a tremendous headache though, so I won’t be brewing anything tonight. Hopefully I’ll really be able to dig in tomorrow and over the weekend.
