Tea Infuser of the Day
Someone on the Tea Mug of the Day thread just introduced me to the “Mr. P” character, so I had to share this:
That’s “oh my god” in Ukrainian. Pronounced “Bohzhe meey!” Because I’m half-Ukie, my friends tend to send me Matryoshka-themed gifts all the time. BTW, “Matryoshka” is the name for these nesting dolls; the word means “little mother” in Russian. I have Matryoshka dishtowels, Matryoshka luggage tags, Matryoshka measuring cups (cleverly designed, those) – you name it. But this infuser is PRICELESS. When I saw the picture of the head bobbing on top of the tea I just lost it…! Thank you for sharing.
Brooklynsheep – Glad you like it! I have a somewhat alarming number of matryoshkas. They are awesome.
Clearly I’m going to have to have him.
AND the babushkas – cause they are cute!
And @Brooklynsheep – I am having a GREAT time in your town! I will be sad to leave tomorrow – but happy to get home to my dogs. I am looking forward to my dinner at Gentleman Farmer tonight. Thanks for the tips and the giggles.
finum brewing basket. always and forever until I buy a gaiwan
This day’s tea infuser was chosen for its charm, but apparently it has some design flaws, so buyer beware! http://amzn.to/1gezpuB
I have this lil guy and he’s so cute but it’s a little challenging to get tea into his pants (haha)
Hello fellow Steepsterites. Today’s Tea Infuser of the Day is: http://amzn.to/1l9xjtd
“As we live a life of ease
Everyone of us has all we need
Sky of blue and sea of green
In our yellow submarine….”
Here’s my choice for today: Sharky. I especially like the effect with a tea that tends to create a reddish brew…http://amzn.to/1lfDwUg
Today’s Tea Infuser of the Day has good reviews, and is cute — floating on top of your brown tea, the green “shoot” makes your teacup look like a potted plant! http://amzn.to/1iPUV3j
in a similar vein, there’s also this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0084A72PY/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=bplin-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0084A72PY
These are so cute! But I have a dumb question… how does it open? Is it big enough for a fair amount of tea to expand?
There was one review on this Amazon page:
“The way it works is that the leaf splits in half, revealing two seperation compartments. The top is solid this is just where the air sits. The second is the bottom half, that has the holes and this is where the tea goes.”
