Happy first day of summer y'all!

Well for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere anyway. I hope everyone has lots of fun and frolic this summer and does something just wee bit wicked for the solstice. <3 mzp

Our Solstice Day:
Consume an awesome brekkie
Watch a couple of movies in PJs
Watch Cardinals baseball (doing that now)
Each more awesome food…mostly likely something on the grill…
watch more tv in PJs
And of course, drink tea all day too!
:D Happy Solstice!

THAT is an awesome Solstice Day :)

I also had an excellent breakfast (left over amazing interior Mexican food)walked my dogs early and I’ve been tea-wrangling aka playing with all my tea so that I can find the one I want when I want it (and so I can take a pic for the stash pic thread) and drinking lots and lots and lots of yummy tea (oh and I’m back in my PJs too)

I’ve been having a lovely lazy day watching World Cup games with my boyfriend, lying around on the couch, and eating leftover homemade macaroni and cheese from last night. And drinking tea! :D

I watched the sun come up this morning, wanted to really welcome the first day of summer :-)

It’s been cool and very windy here all day so that means…still shamelessly drinking tea in my PJ at 5pm!!

How’s your “Sheng week end” going so far?

I’ve had two of them so far (and awesome ones) and I’m taking notes so I can write about them. I love that everyone is relaxing (and in their Solstice PJs)

Watched A Midsummer’s Nights Dream and drank many teas while doing laundry, ironing, cleaning dresser drawers.

Sigh…all things I should have done. Now I feel guilty for doing absolutely nothing of that, lol!

I had to do the housework to justify watching A Midsummer’s Nights dream :)

I went to a garden event, and toured a green house. My tea today was Tigre Blanc (Apricot/ Peach Oolong) from Nina’s Teas.

I spent it going to the local waterfront festival (it was small and filled with people, so we didn’t stay long) then went to the mall and lolled around for a bit. Got some more Watermelon Mint from David’s Tea, since the hubby and I both liked it. I am (not so) secretly pleased that he is showing the vestigial signs of tea appreciation.

EDIT: Ooh, and I also got some bubble mugs from David’s! They were the spring seashell patterned ones. There was also a newly-opened kitchen wares store down the same hallway as David’s Tea, but I stood strong and did NOT buy anything, even though there were some absolutely cute teapots – one a regular-sized teapot in a beautiful shade of plum, and another that was white and shaped like an elephant. I stayed strong!

I slept in and then drank four huge mugs of some strawberry oolong. I went on a group Ikea trip with 4 of my friends. I know none of you know me, so you can’t appreciate how exciting that is, but Ikea is my mothership. I got 2 new plants (!) and some more magnetic tins to store my tea in. They stick to the side of my fridge next to the portion of my counter top that I consider my “tea station.” We then went to an impromptu dinner with Tex-Mex and Margaritas, afterwards hanging at my place to watch star wars spoofs (the family guy ones and spaceballs). Welcome summer! My favorite season by far! This Florida girl is grateful to finally have some sunshine.
