Favorite teas prepped chai style?

So I have discovered that some teas that I wasn’t crazy about plain (David’s Tea buttered rum, for example, or sugar & spice) taste great when tossed in the Vitamix with some almond milk, ice and a touch of sugar.

What are your favorite teas to prepare in this way (besides chai)?

And since we’re here, what are your favorite chais? I’m a newbie, so I’ve just tried some of the David’s Tea chais, as well as the Oprah chai and an Adagio chai from the TTB.

Thanks for your input!

Our Chai teas at bit.ly/1iUxk89 involves a blend of Assam orthodox and Assam CTC blended in varying ratios. The tea is then blended with fresh spices like Cardamom, Cinnamon, Long Pepper, Dry Ginger & Clove from India.

There is a difference in Chai teas manufactured in western countries. Even though some of them are absolutely delightful, it is an innovation from the the original house blends which were and are still prepared in India and from where the Chai originated.

The reason being that even though the teas are imported from India (Generally Assam) as the base. The spices used are not from India. Apart from tea, India is known to produce some exotic spices.

Hence, please do try a Masala Chai blend from India and you will be in for a very different experience.

And ofcourse they are ideally prepared by not steeping but boiling the tea leaves along with water & milk (50:50 Ratio).

I was honored with the opportunity a few years ago to spend a month in a rural mountain area of Kashmir, Pakistan. While there we were served a delicious sweet milky chia multiple times a day. Despite my best efforts I have not been able to duplicate it since returning to the states.Any suggestions?
