NEW TO TEA? Let me start your cupboard! *WINNERS*!!!

After years of trying new teas and learning what I REALLY like, I am left with a LOT of unfinished tea. Some of it is excellent and furthered my tasting journey; others are simply not my cup. I would like to offer one or two (new or lurking) Steepster members the chance to start their tea cupboard with a bang. I’m offering black, white, green, herbal AND oolong. I can pretty much guarantee you will like something!

Here’s all I ask:

-You must already have a few tasting notes on your Steepster page.
-Please try the teas you receive. If you dislike one, pass it to someone else.
-Please post your tasting notes on Steepster…good or bad.
-Let me know if you will NOT drink any of the below teas. (I’m sure they can find a home elsewhere.)
-Let me know when you receive the package.

That’s it! I understand college budgets…and regular budgets for that matter. I simply love tea and want other to feel the love too.

Here’s what I have to offer:
Rooibos Cin-Apple – 4oz
Blood Orange Herbal – 4oz
Rooibos – 4oz
White Blueberry – 4oz
Wuyi Oolong – 4oz
Irish Breakfast – 4oz
Foxtrot Herbal – 4oz
Ceylon Sonata – Sample
Assam Melody – Sample
Darjeeling #2 – Sample
Coconut Pouchong – Sample
Keemun Concerto – Sample
Dancong Aria – Sample
Huang Jin Bolero – Sample
Dongshan Dolce – Sample
Gunpowder – Sample
Sencha – Sample
…and various others.

Most of these teas are from Adagio…a great company to start your learning and sampling of new teas. Please post below if you are interested.

I will announce the winners Monday, August 2nd. I’ll be traveling out of state for work all next week, but will be certain to check in periodically.

Lena – I’m not entering (I certainly don’t need tea so therefore don’t want to rob someone else the opportunity to get their cupboard started) but I did want to say that this is a fabulous idea. Very cool!

I’m interested. I’m still feeling my way around the communitiy here and since its so hard for me to find leaf tea where I live, this would be a good opportunity for me.

Awesome gesture. Not entering as there are only a few I would probably enjoy. I might have to do something similar to get someone started.

Not my tastes either except for the 2 I mentioned and sencha, but I love that everyone’s tastes are so different. I’m sure this will make someone very happy. :) That’s a lot of tea. I’m a sample kinda girl so those volumes make my head spin hehe;)

Not entering but AWESOME offer and idea. With so many teas I am sure these can go to those less fortunate. However, I would be curious to try “White Blueberry” some day perhaps I will order some. :-)

I’m very interested. I don’t have a whole lot of tea, and this sounds really great.

Also I just you are announcing the winner on my birthday – haha.

Mines the 11th :)

Haha – coolness – I think August is the best month to have a birthday because it has no major holidays so its like you get your own personal holiday :)

That, and you’re more likely to get sweet summertime gifts haha

Haha – also true

I’m pretty new to teas and have been trying a few different ones from various companies. Would love to get in on this if possible. I switched to tea after ditching a nasty soda habit and I’ve never been a fan of coffee. Tea is for me.
