To celebrate the upcoming change of season and the holidays, I thought I would start a new TTB. SanTEA Claus (get it, get it) The box will only have a few seasonal teas to start with but I thought perhaps people could try to add some seasonal teas to keep with the Santea Claus /fall/ winter theme.

I would like us to do a very quick turn around (4-5 days, rather than the week or 10 days we often use) so that everyone gets it before January 1st. For example, receive on Monday… send out on Thursday… next person should have it by the next Monday. I know that it doesn’t leave much time but if we all have our little baggies ready to go it should work. Before you get the box get some seasonal teas in baggies so they are ready.

I will take sign ups for a week with probably a maximum of ten, but please note that it is not just first come first served. I reserve the right to check activity levels on the site, not to be a tea snob, but because there is a history (even a recent history) of new people signing up, getting excited, and then by the time the tea box is down to their name a couple of months later, they have disappeared. So that all people involved get to benefit from their participation, I want to make sure that the people on the list have at least some history of being active on here.

We’ll need to keep it US. Sorry, those folks to the north!
Please be sure to use tracking info.

Please add at least as much tea as you remove.

Please label the teas with the name and company, and any other instructions you have. Package them in packaging that doesn’t allow them to be smelled from outside the bag – otherwise their smell will spread to the other teas. Please avoid super smoky teas.

I’ll be including a spreadsheet so you can add info. Sampled, Kept, Added. I personally don’t like having to do it all the S/K/T on-line in the discussion notes. (Okay, I admit it I am lazy) But if we include the spread sheet we will know what been happening. (Okay, the last couple sentences were me not the hard working Marzipan)

I’ll also include address labels.

I will know more about the shipping weight and what type of box/shipping will work best as I put the box together this next week.

Please respond if you are interested, where you are, and if you have any vacations coming up so I can consider that in the order.

About the address labels though, maybe it might be better to get it directly from the person behind you on the list? So you know that person is still ready/willing to receive the box. =)

You may be right about the address labels… I just found them very convenient when sending the box on to the next person. Since several boxes have disappeared lately, we probably should do it the old fashioned way. Directly contacting people then sending it on.

I was thinking of starting it Oct. 1st so we can get 10 people done before New Year’s.

Is there a certain time period when you would be available? If you need the box, say, in the first week of Dec. we can probably do that or another time let me know.
