Honey Drops? Anyone tried these?

Has anyone tried these honey drops for their tea? I don’t use honey at work because it’s so messy, but these could make it possible, if they melt easily.

Oh, and they sell creamed honey, too. Creamed honey on buttered toast is one of my favorite breakfast treats.

In Denmark we can buy liquid honey in squirty bottles. They’re excellent for sweetening tea or for honey on top of greek yoghurt.

Maybe I should just buy a squirty bottle then? I have a ton of honey in the house – my mom works with someone who raises bees and I get honey from him.

But not creamed honey. I have to go to the spring reenacter festival to get that.

It works for me. Might not work for you, but it’s worth a try. :)
Maybe, if you’ve already got liquid honey, you can clean a ketchup bottle or something like that to try it out in? It would probably be a mess to transfer it, but there’s no use in making a lot of investments if you don’t think it’s practical. :)

@denisend – Oooh, I am jealous of your honey supplier. :)

Actually, I know of a place where I can get Nalgene squirt bottles for a few bucks, and it’s right next door to our favorite steak house – organic and locally sourced ingredients. It would be a good excuse to go! :-)

Auggie – it’s GOOD honey. :-) He gave me a HUGE jar of it, too, and I’ve never met him. He also brings eggs and other random produce to work for his coworkers.

That’s it, gonna have to move to Maryland!

Wait, I imagine you have actual winter there. Fine. I’ll stay down here were it is somewhat warmer and just be jealous.

Auggy – not sure where you are in Texas, but I did a summer internship there (Kilgore) in college. I remember some days where we’d say, “wow, it’s only 100 degrees outside. Let’s open the doors and let some of that cool air in here!”

You can KEEP Texas! :-)

Hahah – yep, I’m a few hours west and a little north of Kilgore but we get that same weather. If it is dry enough, 100 degrees feels GOOD!

Cool! I talked to one of their help agents:

christine: Hello and welcome to Adagio Teas Live Chat.
you: Hello!
christine: Hi there!
you: do you have any more information on the pump that’s listed on the honey page?
you: It’d be neat to have a mess free way to sweeten my tea with honey at work, but I’d like to see it first
christine: Unfortunately, I don’t have a picture of the pump.
christine: Let me see if the company that manufacturers it has one.
you: Do you know if it screws into the bottle of tea honey?
christine: Yes, it’s specially designed for the bottle (only that bottle however, as in you cannot use it with other types of honey bottles).
christine: Here we go
christine: http://www.savannahbee.com/product/150/8
christine: This a link that’ll direct you to the manufacturer’s page.
you: cool, thanks!
christine: You’re welcome1
christine: !
christine: Unfortunately, no picture but the SB C (savannah bee company) designed it to fit their bottles of honey.
christine: It is a bit of a task to get into the bottle, I will tell you that though.
you: that’s what husbands are for :-)
christine: :)
you: okay, that answers my questions
you: thanks!
christine: You’re welcome!

Okay, don’t google “squirt bottle honey”. I didn’t know that people used honey for that!

Gosh this ticks me off. They introduced a new product when they were supposed to come out w/ their tea cookies and chocolates this summer! I don’t really like honey and don’t like sweetened tea, but I really wanna try ROT’s chai honey.
