Closest company to Butiki?

This may have already been discussed. If so sorry. I’m a newbie. I placed a $100 Butiki order and waiting for it to arrive. Honestly, I’m already sold and planning a second order! Hate she is closing and wish someone would just buy her out instead. Anyway, we can all dream. I’m trying new to teas – I have now tried a few companies but mostly teavana. My question really is – who is the company closest to Butiki? Direct sourcing. Organic. Vegan. No artificial crap kinda thing. ??? I googled that but really haven’t found an answer. She seems to be a very skilled blender. Thanks for the help! Growing my collection and recovering what I like in teas.

It will be hard to replace Butiki. Other companies I like are Red Blossom (http://www.redblossomtea.com/), Whispering Pines (http://whisperingpinestea.com/), Taiwan Tea Crafts (http://www.taiwanteacrafts.com/), and Silk Road (http://www.silkroadteas.com/). I can’t vouch for the vegan aspect of their teas though.

I went onto whispering pines last night and it seemed almost everything was sold out. I will check out those other brands. Thanks. Ok I’m new so I’m not sure about this— I know you don’t freeze tea like you can coffee. But is there a away to keep tea fresher for long periods of time?? Like freezer seal bags? I was thinking of a bulk order. Thanks!!

Don’t, your taste will change. I promise.

Thanks Marzipan. Have you talked to my husband?? Lol. He thanks you. I’ve spent a fortune on teas in the past month.

I spend a lot on tea too, but it’s really interesting to me what I liked even six months ago that I wouldn’t really want at all now.

With tea, you really want to do moderate orders a couple times a year. I know I’ve already warned you (and everyone!) but even if you don’t consider tastes changing (they do!) the tea just isn’t as good as it gets older. It won’t hurt you, but drinking old stale tea you don’t really like will make you want to buy new. Again. You gotta spread out the love. Unless you’re buying puerh. :)

I can confirm that all my teas are natural, additive free, vegan, gluten free, and really hard for me to keep in stock. Haha

+1 for puerh. Older is better.

I haven’t tried much of theirs, but Rishi Tea http://www.rishi-tea.com/ is all organic, fair trade and natural flavor oils, even in their blends. Not sure about vegan though.

Thanks. I have heard good things about them.

Verdant tea uses organic herbs and as far as i know, no artificial flavorings in their teas. They also have sample sizes, which are great to try new teas :) www.verdanttea.com/

Hope this helps! Welcome to the wonderful world of tea :)
