The holidays are coming: What are your favorite advent tea calendars?

I usually try to do David’s tea, which comes out with a really great tea advent calendar with brilliant packaging, and have also done and enjoyed 52teas in the past. I’m looking to change it up this year, any suggestions?

I’m looking forward to these responses. This is my first Christmas as a tea fanatic. I ordered the 52 Teas one and have been eyeing David’s, but I’m unsure. I know a lot of people like the Dammann Freres one (it’s in another thread) but it seems pricy for essentially 25 tea bags.

I haven’t had one for myself, I make them for my friends and I sell a few (I made 13 calenders this year, so much origami!) I keep hunting one that fits what I want, since it just feels weird to make one for myself since I already know what is in it :P

I’d be interested in this too. Do advent calendars usually just include teas from the company’s regular collections or are they more winter-themed teas?

It depends on the company. DTs has a few winter teas, DF had about half being Xmas themed teas.

Be warned the Davids one sells out really quickly if you want it make sure you order it as soon as its up on line or agent it in store as soon as its released.

Adorable! :)

This looks amazing, and it’s nice to see one with traditional (mostly unflavored) teas!

I loved looking at these! Decided I am going to make a few to give as gifts! I have everything needed to make them! A great way to use up some teas so I have a reason to order more for black friday or cyber monday sales!!! Yahooo

Hehe, that is how I started my calender tradition, I had a bunch of extra tea and folded origami envelopes and voila gift for a friend ;) Now it has gotten a bit out of hand 4 years later

LOVE LOVE LOVE this idea. I have so much extra tea, and who doesn’t love advent calendars and a cute homemade gift!? Thanks for helping me put 2 and 2 together!

English Tea Shop has two versions. I haven’t tried that company and I’m not sure if they are shipping to the US. http://www.etsteas.co.uk/?page_id=2673

Sample Teas just posted today that they have one too, but I have never heard of them and it doesn’t say what the ingredients are or give much of a description. http://sampleteas.com/products/advent-calender
