drank Mint Julep by DAVIDsTEA

I’m in love with this tea. Thank goodness I got a sample in my recent shipment because I wouldn’t have tried it out otherwise. This tea is subtly minty with delicious fruit flavors, I particularly noticed the lemon. Yummmmm.

I brewed it twice today. The first time I boiled the water to 208 degrees F and then steeped it for 5 minutes. I then added a little sugar and poured it over ice for a refreshing tea on this hot day. The second time I boiled the water, resteeped for 6 minutes, and poured it over ice again. This time I didn’t sweeten this much but it was still delicious. It did seem to be a bit weaker in flavor after the second steeping, but that could also be influenced by the fact that I had just finished eating some sweet strawberries.

A tea novice, I’m working on discovering the joys of tea. Up until recently I always drank teas that were in a bag or sachet and then decided I’d take the plunge and go for the real stuff. I’m so glad I did.
