Backlog. I cold brewed a jug of this to jug jog my memory since I haven’t had it this way in a while. The result? Eh, yep. I do recall not caring for it this way in the past. The base takes over, and turns generically mediocre-quality black tea with some blueberry in the background. No creaminess, no pastry notes (which is extremely hard to find in this particular reblend in the first place), and no excitement. As a matter of fact, when I mindlessly poured some into my water bottle before heading out to the lab, I completely forgot what I even put to cold steep the night before. Almost halfway through my bottle, in the middle of my work, I’d pause and wonder, “What’s this supposed to be anyway?” That says a lot considering it is (was?) one of my favourite blends. I couldn’t even recognize it!
Haha! Oh no. That’s not a good sign for reordering.
Haha yeah honestly? I’ve found his reblends to be a little on the sub-par side. BUt more money saved for me!
Yay! That’s exactly what I think when something doesn’t work out haha.
