ok. I’m trying to incorporate trying more teas into my work day, but I end up steeping things for far too long because I’m often distracted at the front desk by so many other things. I think I steeped this one for 7(ish) minutes while I was checking out patients and taking payments. I was looking forward to the tea because the scent was so dark and fragrant, but as a result of my crazy steeping, the first thing that hit me was a seaweed type flavor. As I continued to sip, the initial seaweed taste broadens to a more bitter greens kind of taste. There is a great buttery aftertaste that saves the whole thing for me. After drinking the whole thing, my mouth is a little dry. Must try this again for a shorter steep time.

I run, I sing, I drink tea. That’s the best description I have of me.

I’ve always enjoyed tea, but have just started trying out a lot more loose teas and varied brands. I’m really excited about a site like steepster so I can read about what people think about different teas.

Oh and I really hate Lipton tea. There’s something just awful about it and I can’t understand why nearly every local diner only has Lipton.

Also I’m on the search for a full-bodied, fruity blackberry tea. So if you have any suggestions feel free to throw them my way! :-)
