drank Misty Meadows by Savoy Tea Company
2120 tasting notes

Be amazed: we did a frivolous and delicious autumn run to NW Arkansas yesterday (primarily Eureka Springs for those of you familiar with the geography), stopped at Savoy on the way home, and I restrained myself to two small packets of tea. This was one of ’em, because I know of no other source for a similar orangey, almondy, cookie-y green tea. This is gooood!

I associate green tea with focus and clarity; need lots. The closest I come these days to algebra and geometry is figuring out the composition of a teacher resource pack: you get X units of Y kind of paper (three different weights) and you have to leave Z units unbespoken for required items, so what’s left is like trying to fit 9 shoes in 4 shoeboxes without the lid coming off….oh, my hurtin’ head….

We skipped the Eureka Springs trip this year. I was happy with where we went, but I still missed that autumn drive to Arkansas. Maybe I can talk Mom into it in a couple of weeks if the weather holds…

The drive was the best part. We got off 49 at Bella Vista and took little 2-lane back roads the rest of the way.

I love Eureka Springs, but the winding roads between here and there make me crazy. Glad to hear you made it with your sanity intact.
You do know that Misty Meadows is Mistletoe renamed, right?

gmathis

I do. Found that out by accident—love it, no matter what the label says!

(And I had forgotten how STEEP Eureka is! Hadn’t been there since…high school?)

Somebody asked me once when I became a tea junkie; I think it dates back to college when I needed caffeine for a 7 a.m. class but chose not to do coffee. My favorite teapot is a medium-sized Brown Betty given to me by my Mema; the painted flowers are chipping off, but the size and feel is perfect. I rejoice when I get a morning to brew a pot of loose tea starting with a kettle; not a bag and a hot pot.
