You’d want something sweet and fragrant, too, if you were awakened at 4:15 a.m. by a rogue stink that made you panic that the central heat unit was burning…and then you realized that the stink was skunk skinking around outside somewhere. Love rural-burban life!
Since I first met Marco, I’ve also been introduced to several taste-alikes that are equally fruity and a little less persnickety (this one requires a careful steeping eye). H & S Tower of London comes the closest according to my palate. Still, Marco Polo is the gold standard that I judge fruit teas by.

skunk, now that sounds like an interesting event (there are none this side of the atlantic, it almost sounds awesome)! And yes, you need a nice cup to recover.
Do you find Marco Polo complicated? I have been mostly lucky, but might be just luck. Wedding Imperial, OTOH I find very very finicky but been treating (So far so lucky!) Marco Polo with a lot of abuse and it has been pretty forgiving. But then again, it might be a matter of water, tea really reacts differently to different tap waters!
I’m glad nothing was burning. I also love Marco Polo, but it is a little picky.

Awesome is one word I would not choose to describe skunk scent :) Fortunately, Tazo did not mistake him for a black-and-white bunny rabbit, so he moved on before long.
