200 Tasting Notes

And then I had this without milk, but some had it with milk. I served others some ginger black tea and some oolong, but the green tea remained unused. Still, it was a sucessful party

I have this quite often, I don’t know why I haven’t logged it before. It’s proper and powerful and tasty and really good with milk and perfect to prove to people that there are better teas than PG Tips – it’s still a “normal” tea, but it’s brilliant. This was the second tea at my tea party

Educating some friends, I held a tea party with friends with cookies. I first drank this

drank Yellow Tea by Leaf
200 tasting notes

After a day of drinking horrible tea at work (it was £1 for 100 bags so it was never likely to be good), this was a nice change – and I brewed it well enough for it to seem like a nice treat this evening

drank Li Zi Xiang by Aurora

That’s the stuff. 2 pints of sencha that I wasn’t in the mood for, but this is really hitting the spot! Just needed to chill with some music, a magazine and some tea – I don’t do this enough

drank China Sencha by Aurora

I’m not doing too well at picking the right tea for the moment these days. I wasn’t really in the mood for this tea today, but it was nice to have it again after not having it for a few weeks

Really growing on me, this is sooo good! I wish I’d bought more than 15 grams cos it’ll be done in no time at this rate. I had some yesterday too…

I love this tea. (As I remember) It’s from the german (I think) blenders Haelson and Lyon and is one of the few teas that I think geniunely goes quite well with or without milk although I tend to have it without. It’s cheap, very tasty, and my housemates love it, so it’s a winner in my book

Two cups this evening and they were lovely. It’s quite an earthy tea, a good replacement for Sikkim Temi that has now run out for the time being. Really goooood

drank Green Lemon by Tetley
200 tasting notes

As you’d expect from tetley, they have used the worst quality green tea, hoping it’ll be drowned out by the lemon. It’s not bad, I drank it and I’d probably have it again to be fair, but I’m sure there is something beter out there too…

Bio

I moved from the UK to Australia in 2015. I’ve had a fascination with tea since university, and like to try lots of different types. My preference is for real tea over other infusions: green tea, oolong and black, including flavoured varieties. I love encouraging people to try new teas. I also play the trombone.
Ratings:
>90: Some of the best I’ve had so far.
80-90: I love this tea, likely to buy again
70-80: Good tea. Most tea in my cupboard is in this category because it’s fine to drink it all day!
50-70: I’d drink it if it was offered to me, and I’ll drink what’s in the cupboard, but I’m unlikely to buy it again.
<50: Glad I tried it, but it’s not very nice.
