So, this is one that I had to had to try, because I love chocolate teas, and I do like bananas. I liked Banana Nut Bread, but not Dulce and Banana so much, and I think that the Banana Oolong had stevia, so I shied away from that one. But anyways, this one is <3 dreamy <3 in all its chocolatey banana goodness.
Dry leaf, it smells warm and rich and chocolatey with a bit of the banana cream pie after note. Actually, the smell kinda reminds me of Nilla wafers with pudding and bananas. Brewed, it is pretty true to taste, though I did add milk and sugar. Milk made it creamy like the pie, and the sugar just tweaked the sweetness up a little. I ought to try this alone to judge the taste better, but I pretty much always add milk and sugar to my teas. It is not as heavy and rich as Chocolate Orange Pu Erh, and is a little reminiscent of Checkmate, but a little heavier than that…I’d say that it is somewhere between Checkmate and Love Tea #7.
I have to say that I think the 10g bag I got is gonna go pretty fast, and I will need to get a bigger bag soon.
When I was in NY this was the saw. I fell in love and bought 4 ounces!!!!!
