9 Tasting Notes

I’ve only tried this once so far, and on its own I didn’t like it very much. I ordered 4oz because it sounded amazing and Teavana was having an online sale for it. It’s boring. It’s not bad but I don’t have the desire to drink it again, really. I mixed it with Celestial Seasoning’s Cinnamon Apple Spice and it was much better that way. I’m considering adding cream to it or something because it was just “eh”. You can’t taste the chocolate at all.

I love this tea. I tried it at a Teavana store and I was amazed at how good it was. However, I can’t seem to make it quite as perfect as the lady who made it for me, it could be the rock sugar they use. I have to let it steep for much longer and use a lot more of the tea than recommended for it to turn out the way she made it. I also tried using honey to sweeten it at first and it was awful, but agave nectar compliments it very well. I’m also wondering if this is one of the teas that can be reused? Seems odd to do so since the pieces get so soggy.

I’ve tried making this tea several different ways but it never tastes good to me. I can’t get enough flavor out of it without it being very bitter. It could just be the fact that I’m very novice when it comes to tea, but as far as I have experienced, this isn’t good. Every time I make it, I either have to mix it with another tea or throw it out because it tastes awful on its own.
