Thank you Raritea for sharing your Berry Good with me.
I quite like this. Super berry to the rescue!
A little too much hibby but then what else is new… and I can hardly taste the puerh in the first steep, if you don’t count the pinch of fishy scent which I only noticed when piping hot. Overall, it was much better in the second infusion. I heart berry teas!!
I’d have to try it again to get further into detail, as this is a backlog. and a sipdown (which I am totally claiming even though this hasn’t yet been added to my cupboard!) :P

Sil

oh no it’s not a sipdown… you said those don’t count :P

Indigobloom

I know! but I’m doing it anyhow muahahaa

Terri HarpLady

LOL! So do you guys actually add samples to your cupboard? I have them on my inventory list (on my computer, listed by name of company or person who sent them), but haven’t added them to my cupboard.

Sil

Terri – i add ever single thing in my house to my tea cupboard because i don’t know how long it will take for me to drink it. That way i always have a handle in ONE place, of how much tea i have. The exception to that are the few teas that i can’t log due to things like “i bought it at a random store in china” :)

Terri HarpLady

Well, if I want to sip tea with the big girls, I guess I’d better get my sh^t together then :x :o :D hahaha

Indigobloom

I’m the same as you Terri, I don’t add it to my Steepster cupboard so as to lessen confusion during swaps.
I think I’ll start calling them “sample sipdowns”, because while I am getting it out of my cupboard, it isn’t something that I can refer to again or share with others (unless it’s a big sample!) but I feel it should be counted somehow… a happy compromise! :P

Sil

Terri – i just prefer it for tracking. It doesn’t bother me having stuff in there that I can’t swap since typically 90% of my smaller samples i could part with at least a cup. I also don’t swap often. (note to terri my cupboard has lots of recent samples you can’t have mwahahahahah).

Terri HarpLady

I guess that’s why I put them in my inventory, but not in my cupboard. If someone looks in my cupboard & sees something they want to try, I want to make sure I have plenty to share, so they won’t be letdown.
Sil – you’re just trying to get rid of stuff, right? LOL

Kittenna

I’m trying to keep sample sizes out of my Steepster cupboard now too. I have a spreadsheet on my computer for teas I’ve bought, and one for teas swapped to me, so it’s really unnecessary to me to confuse potential swap partners :)

Indigobloom

Exactly! I accidentally included some samples in my cupboard and ended up disappointing some swap partners awhile back.
Also, I don’t really update my matcha cupboard because there is no easy way to swap!

Bio

Let’s see… I’m a tea and workout fanatic, I work in HR, and most of my friends consider me to be an egg. White on the outside, Asian on the inside :)
-from philosophy to food, I love it all
Otherwise, what you see is what you get! I can be very straightforward and yet shy.

Also, I’ve started taking tea sommelier classes and it is an absolute blast! Well, so far I’ve only finished the first out of eight courses, but I am really looking forward to the next one.

Anyhow, if your curious as to how I rate things, this is how I work…

0-25
Like eating dirt, or some other unsanitary indelicacy that mentioning in my profile here would likely get me banned.
I don’t think I’ve found cause to banish a tea to the wasteland yet though so who knows what it’d inspire ;P

25-50
You know that expression “Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater”? I imagine drinking that water would be terrible enough to warrant this rating!
I’d never make my enemy drink this, but perhaps I’d throw it at them. Good thing I don’t have any enemies!

50-70
This is “tea”?? I tried finishing the cup… but my body rejected it. There may be others who enjoy this tea, but it’s beyond me!

70-80
I tried liking it, and I can almost get there! I certainly don’t hate it, but something is holding me back. Allergies? Men in white suits? who knows… certainly not me!

80-90
Lovely tea! Not my all time fave but close. I likely wouldn’t repurchase, but may decide to based on many factors: price, accessibility, whether it fills a “tea gap”, medicinal applications, and how often I crave it.
Every once in awhile I find the sweet spot that bumps these up to 90+. Those are the days I need to buy a lotto ticket!

90-95
Sweet Camellia! this is realllly good tea! Don’t talk to me until I’ve finished my cup…

95-100
Tea of the gods. I would do anything to get my hands on more of this liquid gold!
