As I said in another post, this is the tea that got me into drinking hot tea. There are better examples of Earl Grey that I have found both in loose and bagged form, but I always keep a box at the office. I consider it a guilty pleasure or a constant friend that will just always be there.

This is my first Pu-erh tea, but I believe like others have said its not a bad place to start. After brewing, the aroma was earthy and reminded me of the smokiness of a Lapsang souchong, but not as heavy. I am currently on my third brewing at there is no bitterness. The flavors have become more subtle with each brewing, but overall the flavor is quite pleasant. A whole new world of teas has been discovered. Looking forward to more Pu-erh teas in the future. I started the first brewing at 3 minutes and have added a minute with each brewing.

Until I ran out, I was drinking this tea once of twice a day. It is a great everyday green tea, and I have been trying to describe its flavor for a while. Thanks to reviewer Madison Bartholemew for giving me the perfect description of vegital in front, followed by sweet, and toasty finishing everything off.

This tea was recommended by the Teavana staff when I told them I liked black tea. I did tell them I wanted something on the strong side. By itself I am not a fan as I have not found a way to kill the bitter and almost sour flavor of this tea. However, it is my go to tea for making Tibetan butter tea.

When I got serious about loose tea this Early Grey was the first one I tried. Over the years it has become my standard for measuring other Earl Grey teas. It has a smooth flavor, and with a little milk is my staple breakfast tea.

Earl Grey is the reason I found tea, and this one was recommended to me. While I don’t like it as much as my regular Earl Grey it is a nice tea when I am looking for something different.

My enjoyment of this tea started from the moment its aroma hit my nose. It has a somewhat earthy quality to it that you think will lead to a heavy flavor. However, the earthiness plays well and leads to the complexity of this tea. I was not expecting light and fruity flavors, and I am still discovering new flavors with each glass. Quickly becoming one of my favorites.

With the exception of Earl Grey, I am not a fan of most flavored teas. However, in this tea the jasmine flowers add flavor without overpowering the delicious green tea. I will say the only mistake I made was making this in 16 oz for the first cup. I corrected that one the next cup.

A good green tea, but one that I find gets me through the work day on a regular basis.
