Organic never tasted better: This refreshingly delicate, white Bai Mu Dan China offers fragrant hints of pear, lavender, chamomile, and rosemary. While too subtle for milk, a touch of honey or sugar can make it a delightful stand-alone or an appropriate paring for light fare. Its soothing qualities and low caffeine content combine to brew up a nice, warm cup of relaxation.

For starters, everything we do is Fair Trade-certified; we buy all our tea from developing countries such as India, China and Sri Lanka, where employers pay fair wages, guarantee the right to join trade unions and provide good housing where relevant. on plantations andin factories, minum health and safety as well as environmental standards must be complied with, and no child or forced labor may occur. It also means that progress reuirements must be met that encourage producer organizations to continuously improve working conditions and product quality, to increase the environmental sustainability of their activities and to invest in the development of the organizations and their producers/workers.

Next, we basically think up “blends that are simply not out there.” Our team, dreams up how real apple pieces might enhance the sweetness of a green jasmine tea; how the mild essence of pear may bring out the delicate notes of a white Bai Mu Dan; or how an infusion of vanilla and fresh mint leaves will balance out an Oothu tea. By trial, error, and a lot of tasting parties we honed in on category-defying blends.

Because at present, we only deal in real teas ( which precludes herbals or decafs), we suggest that low-caffeine seekers opt for a white tea, which can contain as little as 5 mg of caffeine more than an artifically decaffeinated tea. However, if you are moved to do it yourself, the process is simple. If you put tea leaves in boiling water, they will release their caffeine property within seconds, after which you can place them in a different pot an enjoy without fear of being up all night. conversely, the longer you steep tea leaves, the more caffeine they will eventually release (although the bulk does go out in the first few seconds).

All Lazy Days Tea blends contain organically certified tea. This guarantees that all our tea was produced by farmers who emphasize the use of renewable resources and the conservation of soil and water to enhance environmental qulity for future generations. They don’t use most conventional pesticides; fertilizers made with synthetic ingredients or sewage sludge; bioengineering; or ionizing radiation.

What’s more, all of our teas are gluten-free. Should you have any other concerns, please contact us; we work very closely with our teas and can answer any questions.
