Despite my previous experiences with honeybush-based teas, I decided to give this mate tea a try because I needed a pick-me-up.

Unsweetened, this tea tastes a lot of honeybush (which is, again, to be expected) but the green/red rooibos blend is also noticeable. I could not taste the lemon myrtle. I decided to sweeten it with Republic of Tea’s Lemon Creme Honey, and it tasted considerably better! Definitely hits the spot!

Very good tea, although very sweet (curse you, overly-sweetened trial packets sent by Teavana!). I would certainly suggest giving this tea a try if you like chai teas in general, but go easy on the sweetener!

This tea definitely smells stronger than it tastes, but the flavor, while light, is definitely enjoyable. It is your average cup of chamomile but on floral (and organic) steroids. Would suggest adding an extra tsp. (2tsp/8oz)
