726 Tasting Notes
Ohh thank you TeaNTrees for sending this tea my way!
I love lychee and this tastes almost like lychee! The flavouring of this tea is super juicy and it’s so good! Lychee is definitely a bit lighter than this tea though, so that’s what’s throwing me off. I think if this flavouring was done in a white tea, it would be so good!
Yummy yum yum yum Yummy Yummy YUM.
Ahh this teas is lovely! I’m so happy I decided to purchase the “They’re Back!” Collection! This tea tastes so much like Blueberry Jam, but with lemongrass and a slight hint of pineapple. A lovely tea to end the night, mainly because it’s soooo good and there’s no caffeine!
Flavors: Blueberry, Lemongrass, Pineapple
From TeaNTrees bc it was supposed to be a small “Here I have teas, take some!” thing to a LET’S DO A FULL ON SWAP sort of thing :)
I’m drowning in schoolwork and I need tea to keep me company, so this one it is! Just a nice rooibos so I can sleep tonight :)
I got a lot of rooibos, not so much Cream Caramel :( that always tends to happen with me and rooibos teas! It smells great, but then it all just goes away once you steep it :(
I have no idea how many times I’ve drank this, but I’m drinking it right now :) I’ve probably had this like five times so far this year at least hahahha
But there’s this place called Cha for Tea right by my school and whenever I’m craving boba, I go here! So good, but a tad pricy. People already know me there and I always get the same thing. A large Thai Tea with boba :))
Super good! I don’t make Thai Tea on my own so I have this place make it for me :)
In other news, I OPENED A RESTAURANT TODAY AHHHH.
So for my school, I’m taking this class which is pretty much the capstone class for my major. Last quarter, we divided ourselves up into 4-5 person management teams and wrote out an entire management plan complete with forecasts and budgets. Now this quarter, we put those plans into action! Each week is a new management group, and each week, we get a different role. I was a server today and it was fun! We’ve been training for a week and a half and today was the first day we were open to the public so it was pretty fun :)
I offered to drive one of my group mates to her house so she didn’t have to take the shuttle, and we decided to get boba after class soooo Cha for Tea it is!!
Got this sample from NayLynn!
This was from our first swap from forever ago. It’s definitely an oldie bc I think I forgot about it since it’s been stuck in a baggie in a baggie in a baggie in a baggie full of all my other matchas, and this was at the very bottom!
Good, but definitely tasted a bit weird haha. I’ll give this an actual rating when I drink a nice, fresh cuppa!
I knew I only wanted this tea because I wanted to use my new milk frother hehe :)
Backlog from last week.
Daddy had a Peet’s giftcard and he’s a fan of Starbucks soooo he treated me to Peet’s while he just nibbled on some of their baked goods.
It was just starting to get hot back home and I knew I wanted to try a tea of theirs and I saw a list of their tea coolers! I decided on this one because come on, it’s jasmine!! And I love jasmine teas so much :)
This tea was just okay. It was good and drinkable, but I didn’t taste the jasmine at all. It just tasted like a sugared limeade or something like that. I like limeade, but I would have preferred to taste a bit of the jasmine! But it was a nice tea to drink on a warm day
Flavors: Lime
Cries because this tea is so good!!!
((Backstory under the cut!))
Enjoyed this tea to-go prepared in-store as an iced latte! Ahh upon first sip, it was a bit weird because I wasn’t expecting so much honey! But dude. The honey and the creaminess of the milk worked so well together. I asked for no sweetener and it was perfection. The honey was already sweet enough in this tea that sweetener was not needed. I never expected to like this tea so much! And I see that it’s in my cupboard? So I must have some stashed away somewhere!?! AHH I NEED IT IN MY LIFE NOW.
So pretty much, I had this on Thursday. Wednesday I had Happy Kombucha, and that was Trish’s favourite tea as a teapop. And on Thursday, I did my massive tea haul. Spent $45 at DAVIDs and $25 at Lupicia I’m not even sorry.
But after my tea haul, I decided to walk around the city and eat my cream puff (Beard Papa’s makes the absolute BEST cream puffs ever!!!). So when it hit 4:00, I went back to DAVIDs and the ladies there remembered me haha. I walked up to them and told them that I was headed home and won’t be back to the City in maybe a year or so, that’s why I’m trying to spend as much time at DAVIDs! hahah. But I was all I want tea to enjoy on the way home. I’m not picky so just make your favourite! Teapop, latte, hot or iced. It’s all on you :)
So Emmy made it for me and she was making me Honey Bee. I was a bit… ehh at first since I’ve never smelled it before, but if it’s her favourite then it must be good!
Then I heard the timer and saw how they were preparing it, and realized that there was so much more room up at the top of the cup and I was all…??
AND THEN MEGAN TOPS IT OFF WITH FOAMED MILK AND THEY MADE ME AN ICED LATTE AND I’VE NEVER HAD ONE BEFORE AND I’M ALL LASLK;DJLASDFJLK THANK BC LOVELY PEOPLE ARE LOVELY.
Oh my gosh it was so good.
You have no idea how great it was.
When all you people visit DAVIDs and don’t know what to get and want a tea to-go, ask for an iced Honey Bee latte. I had mine unsweetened with whole milk, but ahhhh SO GOOD.
Flavors: Caramel, Honey, Milk, Smooth
Can I just say, the people at the local DAVIDs tea is FREAKIN FAB.
Oh my gosh I love them so much.
((full story down below!!))
Enjoyed this tea to-go as a teapop when i went to San Francisco on Wednesday!
Nice, slightly citrusy tea! I love how it’s so bright and so refreshing :)
I’m not the biggest fan of pineapple, so I was a bit hesitant in trying this tea out, but the mango definitely took the spotlight over the pineapple! Super yummy and super refreshing as a teapop! I think the description of this tea on their site describes it perfectly! hahah
I drank this on Wednesday when I went to the City. And yes, when I say local, I mean the only DAVIDsTEA we have that is an hour away from home, or 7hours away from where I live (SoCal for school). I took the train into sf on Wednesday to meet up with a couple friends for a business trip, and I was a bit early so of course, since my stop was Powell, I had to go to the Westfield mall and pass by DAVIDs! So I did and I looked around and everyone there was so nice! I wanted to see if I can smell their “It’s Back!” collection because I didn’t know if I wanted to get it or not. But sadly, they were in sealed packages and not sold loose :( I was talking to this guy named Jason and was asking him about the melon teas that they had and he mention their “It’s Back!” collection. Trish was behind him (she looked like she was a manager of some sort) and she actually took one of their boxes and she opened them for me! I was so grateful and I HAD to get it!
I told them that I wasn’t looking into purchasing anything at that time since I was there purely for business, but I will be back the day after where I’ll be back in the city for pleasure! They both said it was perfectly fine and I was getting ready to meet up with friends, and Trish asked if I wanted some tea to go, maybe a teapop or something, and I was all TEAPOP!??! Because I totally forgot they made teapops! So I was all Trish, I trust you. Make me your favourite tea, on one condition: it has to be a teapop. She got so excited! She pulled down a bunch of teas from the Wall and I narrowed it down to Yogi Berry and Happy Kombucha. I told her that from all of them, I have the two finalists and I wanted her to surprise me.
She made it and Jason was asking me about if I’ve ever had a teapop before. I said yes, but they were all made from home and… they didn’t turn out all that great ahha. So he actually told me how they made it in store step by step and Jason, can you please be mine.
So yes, that is my teapop story ahhaha
Oh yes, a white version of this would be lovely!
