Gongfu in my new Yixing pot. 1 rinse for around 10s, first steep around 15s. Used about 6g of leaf in the 5.75oz pot. Very good!

First cake from the big batch of pu we just received. Did this one gongfu and it’s very good. Probably the best ripe I’ve had thus far.

Good midday tea – very flowery and distinct.

Strong, smoky first cup of the day. It smells a bit like a campfire here at the office.

So good. This might even be my favorite tea. Good for a few infusions, usually around 3 for 1:30, 2:00, 2:30 at 180 degrees. Only takes a few pearls (about 10) for my 7-8oz cup.

Nice and toasty. Did 2 steeps for 1:30 and 2:00, 1 tsp for a 7oz cup at 180 degrees.

This is the only pu cake I’ve been drinking of late because I ran out of my other tuocha. Placed at order at Pu Erh Shop today though, and hope to get a bunch of new sheng and shu next week.

2 level tsp in a 14 oz. Yixing pot. Brewed at boiling for 3 minutes. Very good black, tastes a lot like chocolate at times.
