173 Tasting Notes
I keep drinking the same teas over and over again, and I haven’t gotten in anything new so I haven’t felt the need to report the same ol’ same ol’. That being said, I miss just blabbing on here lol.
This was my go to feel-good tea for tonight. I thought about reaching for a chamomile, but I wanted something sweet. Dessert teas have always been my favorite, but now they will serve even more as happily little guilt free (or almost guilt free) indulgences.
I just had a blood panel done a couple days ago :( borderline high cholesterol levels- again. I knew it would be coming. It’s been a while, but I really fell off the wagon this holiday season. With my genetics, and a love of bacon and french fries, it was bound to happen if I wasn’t diligent. So I’ll be indulging in more fibrous fruits and veggies, starting my days off with oatmeal, and trying to remember to get some healthy omegas in my diet.
I really really like this one for blueberry. For whatever reason though when I’ve made this it always makes me want something salty. Or is it when I want something salty I reach for this tea to counteract the salty? hmmmm.
Preparation
Well, I forgot that I was cold-brewing this. Like, majorly forgot. As in, it may have been in there for a few days… I tried to drink it anyway, just to see. It kind of tasted, hmm, straw like? I’m not really sure how describe it. I really need to post reminders on the fridge when I cold brew :’(
Preparation
Probably only have one mugs worth of this left D’:
Which means I’ll horde it, and probably not drink it for a while. I’m going to try to put myself on tea buying hiatus. Or at least get through some of my teas before buying new ones. I certainly don’t have a HUGE stash like my husband seems to think, but it does take up a bit of space in our small kitchen.
Once I get through more of my teas from David’s this is going on the list! I like it without any additions, which is nice because its low-maintenance. Chocolate and raspberry are definitely up there as far as my favorite combos go.
I’m bumping up my rating for this one. Now that I have more control over my water temps (thank you variable temp kettle!) I find I like this a lot more. The first few times I tried this it was, off, somehow. Since I got my kettle it’s been a perfectly delightful brew every time. Very consistent lovely mint chocolate flavor. I will have to compare it with some of my other minty teas to see what kind of taste I prefer, and which ones stack up for re-ordering.
