This tea smells terrific as a dry mix. When you brew it, you smell mostly peppermint and the cocoa and white chocolate seems to be overpowered. Once I tasted it, I was disappointed in that there was so much mint that it was like toothpaste, but unlike toothpaste, there was a bitter aftertaste . I’m really starting to think that I don’t care much for flavoured teas, although I’ve always enjoyed authentic natural mint teas from time to time. This was is something I’d save for when I have a cold perhaps, as maybe it would improve with honey added. I’m sad I bought this now, as I think I’d prefer just plain spearmint leaves from the health food store, mixed with hot chocolate powder added after steeping. This one did not live up to its smell.

Rich and full bodied but don’t oversteep or it will get bitter. This is a lovely sweet tea, best served with half-and-half cream and sugar as a dessert. I do enjoy this tea but I don’t drink it every day as too much of it is cloying. It seems like it should be a Christmas tea. You can not do a second steep on the bags, as it just isn’t good.

Very pleasant blend chamomile and mint, best if let to steep for 4 minutes and sweetened with a tsp of honey or white sugar.

The vanilla taste is harsh and jarring and doesn’t taste like real vanilla bean. Other than the vanilla, the bergamot flavouring is pleasant but somewhat weak, overpowered by the vanilla. I will keep this around for variety and guests, but will not likely repurchase.

drank Kenyan Tinderet by DAVIDsTEA

Full-bodied high-altitude tea, coppery, dry leaves smell like warm straw and honey. My favorite Davids Tea, as its flavour is not masked with added flavourings, it’s just pure Kenyan goodness. Lovely with or without milk, hot or cold. I should add that I am primarily a wine drinker, that drinks espresso when I’m not drinking wine. I do appreciate a wonderful blend but prefer when the tea stands alone and doesn’t need correction or blending. This tea is pretty close to perfection, in my opinion, and I felt compelled to sign up and leave it a good review after reading all the poor reviews it was getting. You can taste the sunshine, the copper in the soil, and the thin air.
