It is a beautiful morning, if only because it is no longer yesterday XD. Yesterday we discovered our bedframe is moldy and rotting, I broke my toe, and spilled tea all over myself. Today will be better because I say so XD.

However we did organize our sipdowns into caffeinated and non caffeinated, so I can just grab one and go. Hopefully my grabbing this one bodes well for the day.

I had this with an avocado smashed onto an everything bagel and it is just perfect. The tea is nice and fruity, though I wouldn’t pick out strawberry specifically. And the lime kinda tastes like lime peel. Still, it’s a tasty morning cup.

Wow, sorry to hear about all that misfortune! :(

For me, I drink 2 (sometimes 3) cups of green tea in the morning then herbals throughout the rest of the day. In order to sip down my herbals I “pack” paper filters and keep a bunch of the tea bags in a ziploc baggie in my purse. I usually only have one type of tea on me at all times so I’m forced to drink only one type of herbal at a time (at least when I’m out and about/ at work) so It’s been an awesome way to sip down :).

Love this tea, but will likely finish a sipdown of it tomorrow, which is sad, but this tea is another from our scary-old collection XD. Added a splash of vanilla sugar free syrup because I was trying to finish off the bottle and unf. It takes the dreamsicleness of this to a whole new level. So yummy, I will be sad to see this one go, but glad to have another old tea out of my cupboard.

We bought this tea ages ago when we first went to Tealish because Bella is the name of the first cat that we ever adopted together, just after our wedding. She’s currently curled up on my chest, trying to distract me from everything else XD.

I love this tea. Every time I have this tea, I realize how much I love it, and then I don’t drink it for months, years. Ooops. Well, today is a sipdown of that first bag we bought ages ago and it’s as good as ever. I think this needs to go on our restock list. I won’t place an order just to get more, but if we’re already ordering, this will definitely be one to get more of.

Needed a pick-me-up this morning and automatically reached for this tried and true favorite. I will never not love this tea, it’s just so bracing and perfect for a morning when I don’t actually want to get out of bed.

drank Vanilla Decaf by Tealish

Was craving a black tea, but it’s past ten so caffeine is not an option. Vanilla decaf with a shot of sugar free vanilla syrup to the rescue! Perfect and creamy and just what I wanted.

drank Sangria by DAVIDsTEA

This is tasty and the licorice root balances out the massive amount of hibiscus for me. Slightly fruity and very juicy.

That said, I spend a lot of my time in the summer making sangria for my in-laws and while this doesn’t taste like the sangria I make, it does bring to mind the bottled non-alcohols sangria I would buy back home in Tennessee. I could do with more fruit and less hibiscus/licorice, but it won’t be a hardship for me to sip this down.

Another sipdown! This smells like those pomegranate vitamin c cough drops. Not the best association, but not necessarily a bad one either. Just not something I would ever want to drink a cup of XD.

It tastes….like it smells, medicinal hiding under fake fruit flavor. Meh. Glad to see it gone.

edit Bananas. Why am I tasting bananas?

Rewarding myself for the sipdown for bitter hell with one of my favorite teas. I adore this tea and it’s perfect for these last days of summer. Maybe they’ll bring this one back sometime crosses fingers.

Sipdown and thank goodness. I thought my wife’s cup last night was bitter because I accidentally over-leafed, but I was more careful with mine this morning and it’s still crazy bitter. Steeped under boiled for a mere two minutes and I’ve got a bitter brew with maybe a hint of cranberry? Maybe? Blegh. Will finish my cup, but I’m glad to be rid of it.

Formerly aisling of tea, now you can call me ele .

“You can forgive a murder, but never a mistake while preparing tea.” Chinese proverb

Labels? Here you go: Femme, Wife, Lesbian, Homemaker, Happy. Don’t forget tea fanatic!

New label as of May, 2015: Diabetic. I’m using tea to satisfy my sweet tooth cravings and keep me hydrated without hurting my system or messing with my blood sugar.

Ah, tea. My love for you is ever changing. At my last update, I was all about the rooibos and now I hardly drink it. I only occasionally had an oolong and now I have one just about every day. I’ve learned the art of resteeping and coldbrewing and kombucha. I have a lovely little tea pet named…well, I haven’t decided on a name for him yet. I also have five! live pets, a tabby cat named Rosabella Francis (Bella for short), a ginger cat named Orange Julius Pekoe (Pekoe), a white and grey cat named Earl Jean Grey (Earlie), a tuxedo cat (and the only boy in the house) Prince Erik Darien Darjeeling (JiJi) and a red foot tortoise named Da Hong Pao (Pao). So if you see me referring to my girls, I don’t have kids, just animals.

As for tea, I love oolongs, herbals, and black tea. Since I am no longer working, I no longer feel the constant need for a mate energy boost, though I do still reach for it from time to time. I also drink less matcha, though I do throw a spoonful or two in when I’m making smoothies. Most of my tea I drink coldbrewed, and since I discovered coldbrewed rooibos was giving me headaches, I’m drinking less and less of it. Straight pu-erh is not a thing I enjoy, but there are a few flavored blends I like. Greens are still too finicky for me to bother with hot, but they make great cold brews.

I am by no means a tea purist. I greatly enjoy flavored teas and I put stevia in all of my teas. It’s just how I do.

I think I’m going to name my tea pet Mr. Turtle. Even though he’s a tortoise.
