drank Genmaicha by Kusmi Tea

Love it! A very aromatic and delicate tea. You can clearly taste the rice flavour even though it’s actually quite light. It’s good cos your mouth will not taste of fried rice, as in the case of some stronger genmaicha, after drinking! This tea will definitely go well with the Japanese sweets (wagashi) I bought from Muji!

This tea does live up to its name – it tastes exactly like candy cane! It’s minty, and the vanilla flavour is strong! But that’s also why I don’t like it much… it’s way too sweet for me. I was looking for something more refreshing and with a cleaner finish.

The vanilla scent is sweet and overwhelming, yet disappointingly it tastes just like any other black teas. A relatively long steep time is needed as the tea isn’t quite strong.

Love the unique lemon/lime scent of this tea, which sets it apart from classic Earl Grey. I’ve always love Kusmi Tea’s russian blends and this is definitely a classic.

It tastes rather like Tea Forte’s Vienna Cinnamon, if my memory serves me right. The notes I get are mainly almond and cinnamon; it doesn’t taste like Christmas cake to me because the vanilla is missing! I am not a fan of spices… but this tea does remind me of Christmas so it’s perfect for my post-holiday depression. :P

drank Prince Vladimir by Kusmi Tea

Can’t agree more with Angrboda’s review… I instantly thought about St. Petersburg when I first tried Prince Vladimir, but then I was kinda surprised by this association because the 2 teas didn’t really taste THAT similar. The main difference is of course, the spicy and slightly zesty flavour. Compared to St. Petersburg, this is probably a more exciting tea, but I guess I like the fruity flavour of St. Petersburg more ;)

drank White Orchard by Mighty Leaf Tea

The reviews of this tea are rather extreme – ppl seem to either hate it or love it! I belong to the latter group… just how can anyone hate this aromatic infusion? I absolutely love the subtle peach flavour, which tastes/smells almost natural! I think I am falling in love with Mighty Leaf… ;)

drank Green St Petersburg by Kusmi Tea

The green version of my beloved St. Petersburg!!!! :D The signature notes of red fruits and caramel are just as fragrant and delightful… it’s virtually the same as St. Petersburg but only lighter and sweeter. I personally think it’s great for evenings as it is a soothing, gentle tea.

drank Spicy Chocolate by Kusmi Tea

My second Kusmi Tea. It has a lovely, rich aroma of chocolate. The spices used in this tea are not specified on the Kusmi Tea website, but probably they are spices commonly used in masala chai recipe? Mmmm… so Indian! :9 Guess the tea will go well with a bit of milk! ;D

drank Chamomile Tisane by Tea Forte

There’s nothing really remarkable about this tea – it’s just pure chamomile (sorry, but I can’t really detect the orange peel)! But sometimes a soothing, light tea is all you need. Good for bedtime, or when you are feeling sick.

A devilish girl who lives up to the post-80s youth stereotype – hedonistic, frivolous and rebellious – except I love traditional afternoon tea rather than a quick caffeine fix at Starbucks.

I make a living off others’ criminal activities. It’s a busy job and I really wish I could retire, so I can become a full-time afternoon tea connoisseur instead. :j

I love any tea that has nice scent, great flavour and lovely packaging. My current top favourite brands are Mariage Freres, T2, and THE O DOR. ;)

I am now practising mindfulness as a way of living. I decide to use tea tasting as a means to meditate in my daily life. My tasting notes here will therefore be my meditation notes :)
