I made this iced because it smelled like it would be good iced. I’m not entirely sure I’d love it hot, though I will probably try that at some point. Anyway, it’s unexpected. At the first sip my mouth wasn’t sure what to think. By the time I’d finished my glass I liked it. By my second glass I really, really liked it. It’s refreshing, but weird…in a good way? I’m sure given that it’s named after a popular villain, it was intended to be just that little bit of jarring.

Bio

I became a fan of tea in 2001 when I started frequenting Savoure in Eugene, OR. It has since closed, and I mourn it.

While visiting France, I did not buy any souvenirs, but I did manage to spend a small fortune at Mariage Frères. Me and my 500g of Marco Polo are very happy together, thank you.

My favorites are flavored black teas, and I like them with milk and sugar. That is not to say that I don’t also enjoy a good green, oolong, or rooibos, especially when they’re high quality. I’m not a huge fan of white, but sometimes one comes along that rocks my tastebuds. I like herbal/tisanes, but I confess that in my head I don’t completely consider them tea, and I usually only dig them out if I’m sick.
