141 Tasting Notes
I’m struggling to finish the last few cups left of this tea. I LOVE jasmine and green tea, but there is just something up with this blend that is not impressing me at all. This is the first jasmine green I’ve tried that tastes like soap. Do not want. There are so many better kinds of jasmine green out there. DT, you can’t be perfect; I still love you though.
Preparation
Thanks TeaVivre for the sample; thankfully Canada Post only hoarded this box for a month before letting me know they had it…
This flowering tea is slightly less flavourful than the Two Dragons and a Pearl tea. It is not as nutty; it is a bit sweeter and more floral, but I found the flavour didn’t last as many steeps. Definitely a lighter flavour over all. Still enjoyable and pretty to look at. I had three love flowers on mine, as opposed to two in the picture.
Preparation
This is quite delicious. I never thought I would find a flowering tea to taste good, but this one is light and not heavy on the flowers at all. A slightly buttery, slightly veggie but in a mild way, kind of green tea. Little bit of jasmine and…something else floral. These are things I like right now.
Looks cute when blooming too :)
Preparation
Birthday iced tea, in the rain, in the early morning hours at work.
My one complaint with this tisane is that 100g doesn’t go very far considering how big the chunks are. I think I’ll need to get 200g next time.
I am surprised to find that I don’t quite like this as much as Teaopia’s Jasmine Superior. The jasmine in this version is sweeter, but there are little to no flowers in this pouch. I also like being punched in the face with flavour, and the jasmine in this blend barely smacks my cheek. It’s quite faint and barely lasts two short steeps. I’ll finish the pouch, but this won’t be my permanent jasmine green.
Preparation
This was really delicious! Thanks Mercuryhime! I got through 4 infusions and they were all very fruity, floral, sweet and roasty. Definitely tasted some lychee or similar notes. I loved how the leaf tips turned green after the first infusion. They looked and smelled like a chinese green or somthing similar. Not what I was expecting from an oolong but I quite enjoyed it.
Preparation
This is definitely growing on me now that I’ve started adding agave to it. The tartness of the plum is accented by the sweetner and it makes it nice and juicy. The hibiscus is toned down a lot now too. I’m enjoying a cup right now after assembling several pieces of IKEA furniture. My new place rocks except the fridge doesn’t work. The kettle does, though!
Preparation
I can’t think of anything to say about this tea other than I want to marry it and move to Vermont with it, or the Canadian equivalent.
Creamy amaretto coconut sweet spicy SOOOO GOOOD. Even the BF swoons for this. I caught him with his nose in the tin like a love-sick puppy. If this isn’t made part of DT’s permanent collection I might cry.
