90 Tasting Notes
I got a sample of this in one of my online orders. I poured out the package into a filter only to realize theirs enough in the sample for at least 3 cups so I poured it into an empty tin. That being said my tummy wasn’t feeling well, I think due to a lack of food but it’s too late to eat, so I made this an went without sweeter or milk. I have Moroccan Mint from Teavana but it just doesn’t measure up to this! I always burn the Teavana one and it’s bitter and gross and I have to have honey (though I did get a decent cup last time), but not Peppermint Amour. It has a nice minty flavor that cools your throat and it’s not so vegetal that you need sweetener to make it palatable. Definitely a win on this one DT.
Preparation
Picked up an oz of this while at the store today. I had to sugar it up a bit because it wasn’t sweet enough on its own so i put in a few pieces of rock sugar and a little caramel honey stick. Yummy :) I made it as a latte but it didn’t stay frothed like I wanted, oh well, next time.
Preparation
Our Pennsylvania store opened today and of course I went to check it out! I got this as a to-go because I was unsure of wether or not I would like it and $11.50 is a lot to pay for a mistake. I have never liked more traditional teas but this one was delicious! It was so creamy and it was sweet on its own. I will be buying this one next time and I’m hoping I get the job there on Monday after my interview :)
I love this tea too Lindsay. The interesting thing about it is that different batches taste different. I guess tea is like wine where growing seasons determine the taste of the tea. But it is delicious. If you like brie cheese, taste it with that. Or shortbread cookies..
Had tummy problems all day so one cup of this was all I had, a serious cut back from what I usually have! I’ve made this many times before and it always tasted bitter and burned when I made it and I think it was because my water was too hot because my roommate made this cup for me and she actually checked the temp. and it was awesome! I’ll be keeping this one around for sour tummy days to come.
Preparation
it’s been awhile since I drank this. It reminds me of the gummy peach rings my Dad used to eat, so you could say I bought this for nostalgias sake. It smells very peachy in the dry leaf. On the first infusion i forgot to put some honey in so it was a bit tart tasting but it was still good. I gave the leaves a second steep and the peach came out wonderfully. I also remembered a splash of honey and it was very lovely. I have to stock back up on this one on Saturday when the DT near me opens :)
Flavors: Peach
Preparation
I got my big box of teas yesterday and this is only my second new winter tea out of five that I have to try… I’ve been slacking lol. I chalk it up to tons of homework. I loved this tea as soon as I smelled the dry leaf. It smells like vanilla pudding. I’m not picking up the overwhelming apple like in most apple teas, I’m also very thankful that the golden raisins don’t take over either. Actually, none of the flavors are dominating the tea… I love, love, love it. 110% recommend this tea
Flavors: Apple, Vanilla
Preparation
My roommate bought this last spring on a trip to NYC, she couldn’t drink it any more because it gives her migraines. I made it for the first time today and she gave it to me about a month ago…oops. I just didn’t know how i felt about this tea. I think I added too much sugar. The hibiscus in this tea tasted funky because of all the sugar.
Preparation
Ahhh, the Winter teas box has arrived from DT! First up, Eggnog. I absolutely fell in love with this tea at first smell. It has all the nutmeg and creamy vanilla flavor I was hoping for. I also may add that I had this in the new candy cane color change mug DT put out, so I’m sure that added to my excitement.
Flavors: Honey, Nutmeg, Vanilla
Preparation
Oh nooooooo.. don’t tell me this. I am an eggnog freak and may need to order this even though I just ordered pumpkin chai a week or two ago. :P
haha I literally did that. I ordered Pumpkin Chai like 2 weeks ago (it was all I ordered) and here I got a huge box of stuff today. This is so worth it. I put a touch of whole milk in and put frothed milk on the top and made it a latte….so, so, so yummy
