I’ve had two cups of this in as many days. The pollen is wreaking havoc on my throat/sinuses this year. The fiance brought this over with five other teas from this company and recommended it for a sore throat, so I gave it a shot.

I definitely wasn’t crazy about the smell of the sachets dry… very licorice smelling to me, but they smell mostly like spearmint once they start to steep.

I added a heaping teaspoon of local honey to both cups, which is recommends, and found the taste to be mostly mint, a bit licoricey and of course I could taste the honey too. The taste was pleasant, though not my favorite, but again I don’t like mint teas very much.

I did find this very soothing on my sore throat though. Both times it seemed to sooth the pain in my throat pretty well, though not entirely. I would definitely buy this again to have on hand for future whiny sick times like yesterday and today.

The first time I tried loose leaf tea at home, I was hooked. I’ve been drinking tea for years now, though I still feel like such a newbie in the world of teas. There are so many things I’ve never tried from so many new to me companies!

I used to be very much a black tea drinker, but have started, in the last year, to realize that I prefer the lightness of greens and whites much more.

That said, I will basically try any tea once (probably twice, just in case)!

My review categories:
100-94: I never want to run out of these!
93-80: Restock please!
79-60: Definitely like, but not a must have
59-50: Not lovin’ it, but I’d drink it again
49 & below: nope, Nope, NOPE.
