drank Milk Oolong by American Tea Room

My first milk oolong and one of my favorites. A subtle taste of sweetened condensed milk matched w/creamy oolong. I have heard about some milk oolongs that are adulterated. I have no clue if this one is – hard to believe that this is natural? But regardless, a great tea.

American Tea Room It is as pure as the driven snow that accumulates just after the harvest — that is why the flavor stands up to multiple infusions. Glad you like this tea, we love it too.

This is the first and best milk oolong I have tried to date. I will probably have to keep ordering just the sample size (which does go a LONG way) until I get a bonus at work or something, but it is a nice special treat I can drink all day. I love this tea!

This tasted like Tang with a background note of earthiness from the Pu’erh. Argh….

drank Mint Oolong by Naivetea

This is not bitter or harsh like some mints. And the oolong provides a creamy background. Like Laura said in her note, like the creamy center of a peppermint patty. And this is naturally sweet. No sugar for this one.

This is a toasty coconutty goodness. Quite nice. I can understand why this was one of the top rated teas on Steepster a few months ago. The coconut flavor is natural and sweet tasting-the black tea base is not astringent.

This is very nice. Sort of a rich, syrupy tasting golden monkey (and both are made in the Fuijian region). I am not sure if I picked out any cocoa notes, but more like a deep malty flavor. This is very nice. The best part? This is a strong tasting tea similar to an Assam but no sugar/milk needed. This is a perfect cup – for a first drink in the morning.

This one is just odd tasting. For some reason, the strawberry flavor is not coming thru to me. I can’t taste any chocolate. I am just getting an icky sweet taste. But I am the oddball out as the other reviewers liked this tea…

Sweet! Sweet! Sweet! W a hint, just a hint of caramel…smooth and creamy. W milk and sugar, a delightful dessert tea. Thanks to French Vanilla for this sample.

Have to agree w others reviews. This is like infusing trail mix. Got this one as a free sample -likely won’t reorder it. Tasted of a mild banana flavored tisane. But if you like bananas give it a try…

Just a few months ago the only tea I drank was hot lipton tea at work, an occasional mint tea, and sweet iced tea.. Then my daughter got me some loose leaf teas for Christmas and then, my tea addiction began…..

And what better way to get lots of dessert flavors w/o the calories?

I prefer my tea with a tinge of sugar. Is that cheating? But to me , the combination of sugar and tea is like salt and cooking- both bring out the natural flavors.

My tea drinking has evolved into a set routine: a breakfast blend in the AM, some flavored blacks during the day, late afternoon or evening flavored green/white, herbal (usually spicy, chai inspired) at night.

Not into unflavored greens/whites yet. Just started appreciating unflavored blacks and am thinking that smoky teas may become my favorite…
When I am not drinking tea, I am working as an engineer, reading, watching some of the better TV shows (like Damages and Breaking Bad), practicing my yoga, cooking, gardening, and spoiling my two miniature poodles (Coco and Timmy)…
