Whoops! I thought I had done a review for this tea…total blond moment….I’ve bought so much tea these last few months that its hard to keep track.

Anyways…I am super picky about Eg blends…I mean I’ll willingly try out samples, but buying more then that it has to both unusual and fantastic.

So far this is managing to be both.

drank Mimosa by Lupicia

I am both relieved and disappointed that I didn’t care for this tea. Relieved because it won’t go on my summer Lupicia order, but disappointed that it was….meh. It’s not terrible…just not terribly inspiring.

drank Framboise Chocolat by Lupicia

Uh oh. This is the 2nd tea I’ve tried in the last couple of days from Lupicia that I really like and will probably end up ordering more. LOL. Ahh well.

I don’t generally like chocolate teas…they tend to taste alot like watered down hot chocolate. But when I was looking over the list of teas on Lupicia’s website, this one really jumped out at me. And hot damn! Am I glad I went with it. (And considering my original list of teas would have put my order to over $200, I’m glad it survived the 2 revisions that I had to make.

The Raspberry in this tea, didn’t taste at all fake to me…though I’m not always good about picking that kind of thing out.

drank Pineapple Oolong by Lupicia

Well! Happily I found a third tea that I really like from Lupicia. Not great for my wallet because undoubtably by the time summer comes around I will have to order more…but I can kinda get away with rationalize restocking to my Mom, plus a few new tries. But it will depend on how many other teas that I like.

Though this tea has pineapple in it, I don’t get much of a ‘tropical feel’ from this tea that others have mentioned. Which is fine…I got more then enough tropical teas.

There was the buttery element that others mentioned…generally speaking, buttery is not a quality that I care for, in combination with the pineapple, it made for a very appealing taste.

This is the tea I’ve wanted to try right from the get go…so I am extremely pleased that I liked it as much as I hoped.

I had a real PITA week. Had to work 6 days this week and now it seems I’ve caught the cold that everyone in my family has been sick with for the past few weeks. I just have a sore throat and ear ache…so thankfully no cough or sinus aches yet. That being said, it’s been difficult in the last few days to try out the teas that I bought practically ages ago.
Growls Anyways…I actually had this tea last night, not wanting to let my sore throat/ear ache to get in the way of trying out my teas. While in someways this is not as good as Pistachio Ice Cream by Butiki…at least as much as I remember. (I still have some that I’ve been hoarding. And it’s been a long while since I’ve had any.) It still has an interesting taste…I suspect I will be ordering more.

drank St. Petersburg by Kusmi Tea
226 tasting notes

A few weeks ago I had gotten a 25 tea sampler by Kusmi (Bought on Amazon, because I was having trouble ordering from the Kusmi site.) This is the 2nd tea, but the 1st wasn’t inspiring enough for me to write a review.

I like this tea well enough that I wouldn’t turn down a cup but considering the insane prices of their teas…if it ends up being that way for all of the teas I try from that sampler…I am completely fine with that. If I had a better job maybe then I would be able to justify a once a year buy of Kusmi teas….but even then I highly doubt it.

Only have this tea if you like bergamot. While the caramel and fruit taste do somewhat take over, bergamot is still very much there. I like bergamot so this is not a problem. But since the taste of this tea reminds me alot of Tower of London and that TOL is a lot more accessible for me…well there is another handy excuse for not buying more of this tea.

Flavors: Bergamot, Caramel, Fruity

Preparation
Boiling 4 min, 0 sec

This is interesting…not sure if its interesting enough to warrent getting a full ounce or two…but like a few others teas i’ve tried so far from this company, I might want to keep some samples around. Huh…this is the 1st time I’ve done a tea review on my kindle and it won’t let me move the
rating bar. Oh well, will see if I can move it later on my computer.

Bio

Currently 46 years old…

Been a tea lover for most of my life, though it’s only in the past? (5-8 years.) That I’ve been drinking loose leaf tea.

I like mostly blended teas in Black, White, and some Oolong. Sadly not much Green tea that I really like. And of course Herbal.

Rating Guide that I use, though I am not terribly consistent;)

100 Excellent
90-99 Very Good
70-89 Fair
50-69 The only teas that I am interested in in this rating are teas that I can buy locally, such as at a grocery store, fruit market, tea shop, etc. Or is fairly cheap/add on thru a website.
50 and Below No redeeming qualities whatsoever or is too much like a tea that I already have.

Some teas such as Constant Comment by Bigelow I still drink on occasion, it is one of my comfort teas from when I was growing up. Others are Perfect Peach, Mint Medley and Cozy Chamomile.

I am a bookworm, though I also enjoy art journaling/mixed media, making jewelry, spending waaaaaay to much time online…particularly bingeing various tv shows on Netflix and Hulu. Also various forums like this one (On and off.) Quora, Goodreads, Youtube and misc. others. If you see the nicknames Lynxiebrat/Lynxiegrl,Lynxiedove, Zaaron or Sarikcat, then drop me a message:)
