This will always be what I think of first when I hear “cup of tea”. I’ve been drinking it so long,I don’t even know how to rate or describe it. I guess it just tastes warm and comforting to me, and has the familiarity of a childhood stuffed animal. I decided to have one this morning; it’s probably been a year or so since the last, but I had a craving. It’s kind of malty and so mellow. I have it with a splash of soy milk and no sweetener, and it’s just lovely. I feel so gauche waxing romantic about a bagged tea that’s been in a Ziploc bag in my cupboard for ages, but I don’t care! It’s just what I wanted this morning, as I work from home today at the island in our kitchen, enjoying the feeling of early autumn sun on my back and listening to the dog snoring on the couch.
