A truly magical brew! Already just smelling the potpourri of various fruit, herbs and flowers reminds you of the complex character of Mr. Ollivander. It tastes sweet and light with hints of licorice. The fruit are more dominant in taste but not overwhelmingly so. It’s the perfect tea to accompany a good book (of the Harry Potter series, naturally!) or simply to relax and warm up during a cold winter afternoon.

This tea is a little lighter and sweeter than Ghograjan Tea Estate’s “Crush, Tear & Curl” Assam tea but by no means is it any less delectable. It has a less dominant but still full-bodied maltiness which I always crave for but have rarely found in other Assam teas. As it is lighter and sweeter it’s the perfect tea for the evening after a good meal and can be drunk pure without the need for any accompaniment.

I had the pleasure of sampling the tea by the Ghograjan Tea Estate at the San Francisco 3rd Tea Festival and it blew my mind! I purchased both this and their Orthodox tea there.
Already just smelling the tea lures you in with a strong, fresh and inviting scent of typical Assam tea. This tea is more dominant in its flavor than Ghograjan’s Orthodox tea. It has a distinct maltier almost woody taste with hints of a captivating sweetness that envelopes the palate after each sip. It pairs well with food such as fruit or even a richer meal as it doesn’t overshadow but rather enhances other flavors. I regret not having bought more as this is by far one of the best black teas I have tried to date. Plus, it was a pleasure to meet the people behind this tea and chat with them as they were incredibly sweet and kind.

Had the pleasure of sampling this at the SF tea festival and it was the best herbal tea I sampled all day. It’s light and yet full-bodied, the vanilla adding an elegant and exotic sweetness that perfectly enhances the rather tangy and grassy taste of the dandelion.

Absolutely delicious – truly warms you from the inside. It has a light flavour of traditional black tea but the spices are more dominant. Spicy, almost tart and a mixture of the spirit of late autumn and early winter in a cup.

Quite pleasant and relaxing. Has a grassy, slightly tangy flavour. After having read many reviews that mention “bitterness” I was expecting a different taste – but there was no bitterness at all. It has a nice smell out of the box as well.
