This tea smells great – lovely peach fragrance with a very slight hint of jasmine, so I bought it on impulse when I was at the store. I had high hopes for this tea. Unfortunately the brewed liquor was anemic and a little bitter. I think I may have oversteeped it at 4 min and will try 2 minutes next. I confess the package suggests 82 degrees, and I usually use a hotter temperature (boil water then leave it for 5 min to cool down slightly). I just found it so weak and boring, and after a few sips the peach flavor tasted very artificial.

I will try again and hope it tastes better!

Bio

I grew up in a tea-obsessed family although it was the bagged orange pekoe type. A few years ago I switched to loose-leaf tea and can’t go back to teabags! My daily cups are usually oolongs, although I do drink lots of black tea as well. Almost always straight-up, with no milk or sugar. Lately I’ve been making iced teas which are fun. I’m also trying to get into herbal teas and the rooibos and mate’s.

Me: geeky, bookworm, work in software, fashion-obsessed, thirty-something, travel a lot, and of course enjoy a good cup of tea.
