I’ve found that this tea is very mild. It steeps to a pale yellow colour and smells sweet and nutty. The taste is very smooth and pleasant but not very strong. Upon resteeping I added an additional .5 of a teaspoon to get the same sort of result as my first steep. This tea would be a nice treat from time to time but I can’t see me stocking it in my cupboard constantly.

The tea brewed to the colour of dark liquid honey. So far I can’t say this is a very fragrant tea. I didn’t catch any distinctive smells from my cup. It’s a soothing tea that isn’t overbearing and I’ve found that it re-steeps well.

This tea smells faintly of coffee and cinnamon. It brewed to a satisfying dark red brown colour When I drank it Espresso Yourself started off slightly bitter on my tongue with a faint taste of coffee. After swallowing the tea I was left with a strangely sweet and creamy after taste. I can’t say the taste was very pleasant but it wasn’t horrible either. I’ll probably finish off my 50g of it sparingly as a pick me up at work, because the espresso bean, tea combination did perk me up quite a bit.

I brewed a trio of these pearls in my mug at work this morning. I’m not sure of the exact temperature as I used the hot water spout on our water cooler. Initially I received this tea for free as frequent steepers tea from Davids. I’ve been waiting to open it because I have so many other teas to drink. It was definitely worth the wait. I’m not usually someone who enjoys floral flavours in my tea but I found that the jasmine in this was not overwhelming. I steeped it for a second time for about 10 minutes. The second go was a bit milder but it still was as soothing as the first steep. This tea is a bit pricey but as an occasional indulgence I would definitely consider purchasing it again.
